It’s the combo of the boots the cuff and the bag for me here. Thoughtful without trying to hard is always the key! Though I am not a fan of what looks like a man purse strapped to him.

This is a timeless American casual look – could be 50′s, could be 80′s, could be Sunday. My grandfather had a denim jacket in the same style (but from the Tractor Supply Company, not from Faconnable or APC). With the canvas bag he makes me think of Jack Keroac in “On the Road”. The only thing that is a little off is the shoulder bag – just a tad too small to be a “man bag” (Sal Paradis and Dean Moriarty would never have carried man bags). A leather or canvas map case would be the more obvious choice. Maybe he is just holding it for his wife for a minute…

After looking at clothes that are too tight, too short, too skinny, too this, too that – this looks refreshingly easy and cool.

And another thing, can a guy with a grey hair (the Southern Preppy or this gentleman) still wear his jeans cuffed? I bought some nice jeans on sale but they have 34″ inseam and I really take a 32″. They look nice cuffed but I’m not sure I can pull it off anymore. It does look fine with this gentleman’s “On the Road” get-up.

It’s like I told a coworker a few years back about my boss: “He’s weird handsome.”

There’s something that’s so right about this outfit being on this particular person in this particular way.

I donĀ“t think dark blue is his color. The man is quite slender and the dark color makes him look even slimmer.I would gladly offer him something light on the shoulders-maybe a light trench or a broad scarf, despite the fact that it is summer. Now everybody is talking about these man purses-bags.I find it amusing.A man bag, haa.

I like the clothes and how he’s put everything together, but the bushy hair and sideburns make him look more hobo than boho chic.

in contrast to my Fabrizio comment, here is a guy who thoroughly knows what look he’s going for.

I love the cuff length on these jeans, it’s a very summery look in contrast to the extreme stacking on the skinny jeans on everyone. The looser fit is also very appropriate for the season too.

I have to disagree about these jeans being dior though because of the looser/straight fit. Dior jeans have more taper and fit slimmer. More likely these are selvage repro 501s. Regardless, the entire look is perfectly nostaglic.

    Ohhh ! Ivan !!
    Sucha a beautiful man.
    The way he dress,
    moves, speaks in gentle tone,
what he select for the store,
    are all exquisite and harmonious.
With his modest frame, the little bag makes sense.

Very unique look, it absolutely works on him. Great bags. I’m a bag guy, in fact I just wrote a whole treatise on my blog about man bags. The one he’s wearing could be a little larger, but I’m sure it works for him just fine.

oh, so great to see a parisian that isnĀ“t the clichee or the strokes type rock clichee. heĀ“s rockabilly, man! or some 50-60escue male subtle macho author. iĀ“m so tired of the paris clichee.
