Double-deniming? Or is it a jumpsuit? Either way, she makes something that would ordinarily be hard to ‘pull-off’ pretty effortless, love the rolled hem…
I’m not a fan of jumpsuits as it smacks of the penitentiary and other restricted situations to me. BUT this photo is wonderful if only for the joyous ‘o’s sprinkled throughout – from her loopy earrings to the scrolled paper and her belt. She is even stepping into one – perhaps she’ll fall through……New York as a play ground?
No thank you. She looks fine, but it’s in spite of the jumpsuit, not because of it. All I can think is, Would you like regular or super unleaded? And can I do your windows for you?
To me this defines casual chic at it’s best. Thank goodness someone is embracing their naturally curly hair!! What a gorgeous look; glossy, shiny and bouncy. I encourage all curly Q’s to do the same. Step away from the Flat Iron. Your hair will thank you.

I like the idea of this jumpsuit and it comes pretty close to being great. There’s something about the cut that is off. However, props to her for being unique with her denim.
I never thought I’d like another denim look, but she does it so well & it looks so good; Love taking it even more casual, with the rolled pantlegs, rolled up sleeves, contrasting with updated belt over the overalls; the shoes are the final nod pulling the look into style; love her in traffic, too; symbolic of activity, stalled though it may be; absolutely wonderful photo!
She looks really good in this and it has a 70′s sort of feel – well, I wore a similar thing in the 70′s, that’s all! As a lazy-ish person I am not a fan of jump-suits for personal use – all that undressing when you want to go to the loo! It’s a nightmare! You have to commit to drinking absolutely nothing – not even a sip of tea! But she looks great x
I agree it’s hard not to take on the look of a convict in head-to-toe denim, but she makes it look effortless, comfortable and chic. The handbag, earrings, belt and strappy sandals take the jumpsuit to another level. Perfect attire for a Fall day in the city! Love it.
My mother raised me according to the adage, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”. Advice she never follows, but anyway, it does come to mind every time I look at your site. And I feel guilty about saying anything negative. Still, this outfit is just kind of…eh. Maybe if her hair was more polished. But between her unfinished hair and the jumpsuit, she looks quite average.

If you start worrying about what cultural thing clothing “might ” remind someone of, you’ll be a nervous wreck. No suit coats with broad shoulders; might look like a gangster. No trench coats; might look like a streaker or a spy or Professor Gadget. No cowboy boots or fringe might look like a cowboy or Indian. No gladiator sandals; might look like an ancient Roman. No fur vests or coats; might look like a cavewoman. So, no jumpsuits; you might look like a mechanic or a Canadian? I don’t see the problem with either one. She looks amazing. I love jumpsuits. Just put on a pair of heels and off you go. That one is made of that dark sort of slippery feeling denim though, and thats nice.
