Me too! There’s so much effortless style to the folks captured in these shots. This guy, for instance, doesn’t at all look like he woke up and thought heavily about what to throw on – it just seems natural and cool in a very casual way. I love that.
I’m 17 years old and consider myself an admirer and fan of Sam Lambert’s style and effortlessness when it comes to tailored suits but this was totally unexpected! Never in my life would I have thought to see him in a hipster-esque look and do it so well! Thanks for this Scott!
You came to Johannesburg? How fantastic! I wish I had known you where here! I hope they took you to all the right spots? I see you where in Braamfontein (awesome), did you get to 44 Stanley and Arts on Main, Newtown, the city centre? maybe even Illovo? And there are some awesome areas in Soweto. Unfortunately so often when foreigners come to Jozi (Johannesburg) they only get taken to ‘fancy’ places like Sandton and Melrose Arch (the super rich tiny bubbles), then, to show you the ‘flip’ side, off to Soweto you go on a ‘guided tour’, the typical SA Tourism ‘just add water’ package… There is SOOOO much more to this city! I hope with all my heart (being a very big Satorialist fan for MANY years) they they showed you the hear of our city, because it one of the most beautiful hearts you will ever experience. I have traveled to many cities across the world, but I always return to Jozi.
I hope you had a wonderful stay with us
