I like how these ladies dress. Actually the one to the left got a style that is a lot similar to my own style, color and layer wise ( not money wise maybe, and U would never wear a fur, except if it's my grand mum's old sheep fur from the 40:ies But I love the way she wears adress over trousers, and a parka under a shorter coat. Things that sound strange but really works on the street. Its about confindent and finding a style that suits your mood, not about the money. A lot about hair and shoes though…
Its so cold in Paris and i'm loving the creative layering thats appearing by necessity, you really have to possess an innate style to throw on the whole wardrobe and get it to work!
the jumpsuit is very much working for me. chic in my eyes as it's considered, slightly complicated and concise. the other outfit, not so much but maybe the olive parka was just to keep warm after she was already out. hhhmmmm? *sp
Perhaps it's the camera angle, but the layering on the lady on the left is not well thought out. The puffy second layer is adding size to her thighs and no woman wants that. The lady on the right appears to be recycling her late-70s disco jumpsuit. It is admirable that she can still fit into it.
The woman on the right is absolutely gorgeous, such poise! I love the peach clutch, it looks a bit like snakeskin. This is a wonderful mix of generations and their take on classic fashion!
Though it's a fine photograph, there's nothing special with these women's outfits. Their is no synthesis, and both seem to be wearing the "right" stuff without embodying it…maybe it's the elegant older women wearing ray-ban-esque sunglasses that kills it…or maybe it's the woman with too many layers…
Love the designs you've published on this blog but I'm confused about these two… If and only if you're expecting heavy rain then I guess the poncho and fishing pants are a smart idea, but the weather looks pretty good in this photo.
superposition again! so trendy and when the weather is too cold it's good for us! Love the leopard bag and the shoes, plus little fur around the neck. Interesting.
Hello from Holland! Scott, I took an amazing photo of you & Garance outside the V&R show last saturday. I would like to email it to you both. Pls let me know where to send it! It was wonderful to see you 'on the job'! Grtz!
I would like to live in Paris so that I can wear fur and not think about it. In London, you have to think about it and it is wrong, wrong wrong, but oh so right in Paris…..
This doesn't work for me. The brown shoes don't match the trousers, the layers are stangely put together. Something's wrong about this for me. Something very parisian. Yet, I love the grey trousers. With different shoes I'm sure it would look perfect. And I like the fur collars.
Sorry to be a spoilsport, but I think they both look frumpy and sort of fussy. The one in shades might be OK when in motion, but the blonde is a walking coat rack. Just… ordinary. But it's nice to see ordinary.
I don't like the outfit on the left at all. The stole is OK, but the layers are wacky, not in a good way. Lose the anorak, for starters. I also don't like the shoes with the rest of the outfit; seems like a "pute." It takes all kinds to make a world, but when it comes to style, I think someone like Giovanna has it without trying so hard, and this one doesn't despite clearly trying very hard. The other one looks better, but very much out of the late 70s or early 80s. Flashdance comes into my head….

I don't often see those pants worn well. This woman does. They look very classy and I love her belt and the purse!!!!!
I also love the combination of nylon sporty anorak (or whatever that is) with a fur stole and the tweed-like texture of the sweater.
Both women are very commanding and beautiful.
