+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ OH !….AND HIM JUST IN THE MIDDLE OF THAT ROAD…..JUST AN GREAT IDEA ! GREAT PIC…AS ALWAYS ! ============================================================
I love this shot. It's one of my favorite rues in Paris. The hat matches the building over the arches. The light from the lantern picks up the beige of this shirt.
What a sweet young man. Very slender, still a youth, but already working on his look. I think he's just finished his work day and is waiting for his girl to show up. He likes posing for your camera, likes being noticed. The air is crisp, the night is young, and all the world awaits.
Such a smart interpretation of an early '80s English new wave/ska style, which I have heard is quite the rage in Paris these days. I can almost hear the blast of saxophones and someone yelling "One step beyond …!"
There are so many details that should be thought over. But then again, where is the charm in perfection? Nothing to sugges, well maybe just a little kiss on the cheek ;)
Nice work there. The buildings at his flanks add to the intensity of his gaze.
I have a massive wardrobe yet what I do not own is a hat. That will change tomorrow as I'll be the proud owner and wearer of a 1920s boater straw hat. The very ones that Italians introduced to America at the turn of the 20th Century as worn by gondoliers (sans ribbons of course just the band) Think Buster Keaton or Harold Lloyd, people. Hopefully the hipsters won't ruin this for me.
I love this outfit! That man looks really gorgeous. My boyfriend has the same style. He wears U-NI-TY, Y3, Paul Smith, Costume National…I really like when men take care of themselves.
This guy could partake in any Bruce Weber-production. The hat really suits him, the coat seems somewhat on the heavy side for him (but is nice), I just don't like the combination of the light hat and the dark wintercoat. It's a mismatch in colour and style.
Now he has my vote for the most perfect cute guy. No, young man. He has these American in Paris, second-world-war-soldier-on leave, clean good looks. And so manly.
i just love how you are able to make every person look like they are in their own editorial :) it was worth waiting three hours in melbourne to see you!
Totally agree with Ishita ,isn´t the hat . Is how is he wearing the hat and HIS FACE . Nice expression . Cool man . Very stylish . Of course great shot . Congratulations .
I don't kwow if that makes any sense but I love "how" you've taken the picture, the spot basically: in the middle of the street, parallel lines, the light that starts just right on top of his shoulders, but also the guy's expression… This picture is much more than just a great coat. But there's almost always something, un "je ne sais quoi" that makes your work really beautiful, inspiring and UNIQUE.
Oh no! I've been viewing this blog from my iphone as of late. That's no way to live. The subtleties of this man's dark attire were completely lost on me. I adore the textural constrast of the fur collar, the dark gray pants against his oxblood-ish colored coat, the shoes with the shiney (patent leather?) and matte (suede?). Effortless, nice.
i really love everything about this photo. the hat, the fur, the lines on the street, the contrast of light and dark from bottom to top. it's just great.
Are those shined shoes I see down there? I certainly hope the 'care' element that kind of style so needs returns to fashion – it would be a harbringer of the 'elegance effect' so missing from most of what we see on the street today.

Interesting… I would guess fewer than 10% of guys you see are wearing hats, but 7 out of 12 guys on this page are wearing hats.
Does this mean that hats make you instantly stylish?
Or do inherently stylish guys favour hats?
Or do guys in hats just photograph well?
…hmm.
