This is just a brilliant look and wish I could pull myself together with such ease every day of the week. Just love these jeans. Everything here is so effortless and comfortable and do-able. FABULOUS!
THIS! This is how I want to dress every day. And I’m almost there! As a woman who never wants to wear heels, and likes her jeans loose, thanks for posting this!
She’s, smiling, we’re smiling and everything is grand.

Love the jaket and the moccassin flats! Take a look at my Stockholm Street Style – find out what the girls in Stockholm are wearing! http://www.johannasthlm.blogspot.com
Okay. This works, and for easily apparent reasons.
By comparison, Scott, can you please explain to me/us why the first image of Tuesday, March 6, 2012, On the Street……Full Leg Jeans, Paris is in anyway to be considered “sartorially” worthy?
I hate to reinforce stereotypes, but French women really do seem to have a much deeper understanding of proportion – what looks good on them, how to wear it. I try and try, but it’s just not in me. Do they learn this somehow from a very early age? I’m sure there’s a way for me to wear baggie “boyfriend” jeans and make them work, but I wouldnt have the first idea how to make it happen.
Love this combo. Mocs, scarf, print blouse, blazer & hat would normally be too much but it all works just simple “chique”. Again, the French have an innately good sense of style! Check out my blog for other “Chique” tips.

@KJ The new mom jeans are low waist skinny/boyfriend
March 8, 2012 at 5:04 pm
Does no one see the truth? The new mom jeans are pretty much what this young lady has on. Now this is not a bad thing. Mommies are lovely. But these are just oversized skinny jeans. Isn’t everyone getting a tad tired of this look? Why wouldn’t you want something new? Thsi has been the look for the last thirty years and its not flattering. The waist and crotch being low makes legs look short. This girl has a great figure so she gets away with it, but only a little bit. The jeans Scott sahowed on the 6th are the NEW and more pleasing alternative, and no In DES MOINES ALL WEAR LOW RISE!!
just imagine how terrible this whole look would’ve been without that red dotted shirt inside the blazer. I would’ve made a big mistake of matching a black shirt or something… great look!!
If one is well-grounded in the fundamentals–proportion, scale, color, texture–any outfit is timeless. Now, if one wants to be part of the “in crowd”: That’s why there are trends…and big media– digital or print–as a guide.
Nice moccasins.
I used to hate brown + grey, but since I live in the north of Germany I use more and more this combination in its lighter shades… I don’t know why but now I love it.
I keep coming back to this picture. It perfectly captures comfortable, casual fashion worn by a lovely, natural girl. She seems to be the embodiment of the perfect BFF. Very nice, Mr. S!
As I said before..very pretty…but now that I look at this longer; I absolutely love her smile and her blazer, but not her jeans. Does anyone else feel like they want to tell her to pull up her droopy drawers? How do they even stay up? It can’t be comfortable. Maybe a bit too effortless. Still that wonderful natural smile will make anything work.
