There’s lots n lots n lots of polka dots, but somehow in black and white this comes off more pronounced. Her shoes are dangerous. Too dangerous for the dance floor. http://lordashbury.com
It’s funny when I first looked at this pictures, without reading the title, I thought it was taken in south of Spain years ago… I don’t know why… Maybe because of the polka dots…
i see this trend in China, in the cities i mean; it seems to be very popular here right now, this kind of airy skirt with a more fitted top, usually a jacket or a tshirt; as for the shoes they wear everything from high heels to converse; It looks wonderful and it seems very feminine to my eyes; Personally i see it as a kind of street adaption of the costume some ballet dancers wear on stage, the same lines at least; Anyway it looks beautiful on the sylph like chinese girls.
great photo! I love this posture, the severe-looking and balanced proportions of the whole outfits! the dark hair in a pigtail strict are a visual pleasure!
Wow, such a lovely face -she’s beautiful! I like the length of the polka dot skirt, and the leather jacket is fantastic. They’re paired great together.
Thanks Scott! Beautiful shot. Just recently discovered your site….8 months after having my second child your work has reignited my joy in clothing, personal style and dressing! Can’t tell you how thrilled I am. Just in time for spring in Canada!
I love her face, I love the leather jacket and the platforms…the skirt comes as a bonus..it´s like a “style block” ( a new word for the fashion dictionary).
I love the edginess of the jacket contrasting against the romantic polka-dot maxi skirt! What a great shot =)

There’s a lot of rather desperate experiments around, but this is someone who totally knows what she’s doing. To make your aesthetic, you have to project it with a certain authority.
Her beautiful face makes this photo, stance, attitude, body proportions and greate sence of style come as a bonus. I wish to see her model more in significant fashion literature…..

I agree with CBC..the street looks fantastic!
but the shoes cheapen this look in my humble opinion.
not sure if a flat shoe would have made it more my thing, but
those ugly ill fitting sandal/heels are not it.

I love the way you mixed a classic polka dot skirt with a “bad girl” leather jacket! So inspiring and daring! And what better place to show it off than Paris? Looks killer!
Bravo! Beautyful and strong face. She is born for gracing magazines. This is how fashion has to look now: Touch of couture at “deangerus” streets with a lot of attitude and timless model. Fantastic B&W photo makes the all atmosphere right.
she is absolutely fierce and gorgeous, and I love the cropped leather coat with the retro skirt, but I do wish her shoes were something feminine, a color perhaps. A high mary jane in red. Sigh
Even if I don’t really care about her outfit (I think the skirt should be longer or shorter) the whole thing is very inspirational and gives lots of ideas on how to put an outfit together! This is one of the best picture in a while; the background is perfect, the women is stunning. You should consider this shot for your book! Thanks!
@ Monsieur Marcel–ooh, now that’s an idea. And as I conjure up an image of the Derby Matrons reacting to this badass ballerina outfit, it makes me chuckle an evil little chuckle.
There is so much to like about this look…especially love the juxtaposition of the leather jacket’s texture and the skirt’s floaty, fun polka-dot madness. The fact that the image is in monochrome makes it all the more unforgettable.
