See-through seems to be back with a vengeance. What I like about this photo though, is that there is so much “lurking in the shadows” so to speak. A double reflection, the man sitting inside…it all has a dark feel to it…
This image shows an incredible effect of layering and classical perspective. The graphic shoes and dog at the bottom and the arm movement and it’s reflections at the top, lead the eye all the way to the back silhouetted figure.
This creation of depth is further enhanced by the lines of the tiled floor surface and the framed pictures inside of diminishing size, leading to a classical ‘vanishing point’ which just happens to co-incide with the profile in the distance !
I think because it’s so perfectly composed, also just in black and white tonalities, that you could cheat a bit and remove the yellow phone number from the window which distracts from the purity of this photo !
This is not about fashion or casual street style photography , it’s foremost about art, magical illusion and very cerebral.
Love this! Why? Because of the minimalistic photo while there’s still a lot going on when you look closer. People in the window, the dog, the light, here sheer top, her look and more. It was great to meet you in Paris @ Colette :)
I love black so much and especially this outfit! I love the geometric shape. The light in this shot truly juxtaposes the darkness of her outfit. Although I would rather have her wear a more feminine “skinny” shoe. The blockyness of her wedges… block off her legs.
