So cool to see the chain that way, through the button — since I have never dated anyone or had a father who used a chain for wallet or watch, is this kind of styling common? Just curious… Great bright shot, thanks for posting!
This is a great picture, this guy looks very stylish. Does anyone think there are too many pieces vying for attention? The astute dressers here should note that the bottom button of the waistcoat should be left unfastened.
Wow, that is fantastic. I’ve had mixed feelings on the Pendleton coat trend — I don’t like it with slouchy looks — but that is JUST the right way to do it. The white and all that tailoring highlight the pattern without looking too Western.
I am like so many a huge fan of this blog, thank you for it! I notice that you often show photographs of mature men of all ages but much more rarely show stylish mature women and I would love to see this disparity rectified.
Besides fashion editors the women are almost invariably youthful looking and it unwittingly I’m sure, perpetuates the idea that woman over a certain age disappear whereas more men continue to be handsome, stylish and desirable well into their old age.
Whenever you have shown gorgeously stylish women in their 60′s 70′s they have been so profoundly beautiful and timelessly stylish in a contemporary way, and so inspiring that I long to see more. I am Italian and I know that walking the streets of Milano affords many opportunities of spotting such women and somehow I feel certain that with your beautiful and graceful aesthetic sense, you agree with me. Gratefully, Mina Volpe
