What an awesome blog. I love the scenes of New York section, and hope to see more like this one http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4686/1648/1600/FathersdayHarlem.jpgin the future.

Funny combo! I like it very much! But, what is she exactly doing?
October 20, 2008 at 5:30 pm
Funny style…. I like the Converse shoes and the skirt, the jacket not so much…
October 20, 2008 at 5:31 pm
Oh Sart, how you love her….
October 20, 2008 at 5:32 pm
that’s a great look. the top looks like an etro shirt, and the royal purple really is a nice complement to the jacket.
great shoes as well–and the shot is quite an interesting one
October 20, 2008 at 5:46 pm
wonderful shot… the pose is so unique!
October 20, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Love the composition, colours and framing of this picture!
October 20, 2008 at 5:59 pm
Interesting pattern, satin and Docs mix but surely she would have turned around for you, Sart?? Looks a bit ‘public bathroom’ from this side.
October 20, 2008 at 6:01 pm
I love the kid like quality of this woman’s style. From Chucks to thick glasses. She pulls it off without being a hipster. Very well done madam.
October 20, 2008 at 6:08 pm
eee i love that
October 20, 2008 at 6:11 pm
The colors are fantastic. Seen from the back, she looks sexy.
October 20, 2008 at 6:14 pm
love all the colours!!
October 20, 2008 at 6:19 pm
love the purple skirt and the cardigan..purple is such a hot fall color right now. although a bit ratty, the converse sneakers provide a great hi-lo look for her.
October 20, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Very slick yet playfulIs that a leather dress? Also what a cool zipper detail across the back of the jacket!
The Life and Times of a Southern Foody
October 20, 2008 at 6:42 pm
a great moment in time too
October 20, 2008 at 6:48 pm
The obviously brilliant pattern of the jacket aside, what a nice mix of textures between the jacket and the silky dress. I love purples and greens together as well.
And I’m so happy that she’ll never give up those ratty shoes. If something makes you feel good, don’t let anyone convince you to give it up!
October 20, 2008 at 7:10 pm
cool jacket, skirt, and hair
October 20, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Cool style! would also like to see here face as the glasses looks really cool…
October 20, 2008 at 7:12 pm
love the jacket!
The Man Who Knew Too Much
October 20, 2008 at 7:20 pm
I really like the colour combinations. With that kind of a jacket you can go wrong pretty quickly, but she managed to find complementary clothing! Chapeau.
October 20, 2008 at 7:27 pm
great color combos again!not sure about the choice of shoes though.
October 20, 2008 at 7:36 pm
i dont know what it is…but I really appreciate this photo.
October 20, 2008 at 7:47 pm
I have a feeling like I know her and her name is Midori, Japonais for “green”.
October 20, 2008 at 8:05 pm
I love that jacket!and the contrast of the tailored dress and polished hair with the grungy sneakers.
A nice mix :)
October 20, 2008 at 8:21 pm
This reminded me of the shoe + skirt combo in this post from September 2007.
October 20, 2008 at 8:30 pm
i’ve never said this before but she is da bomb!
October 20, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Great photo.I love the colour palette of her outfit. I adore the jacket.
October 20, 2008 at 8:44 pm
Well, I know what it looks like she’s going to doâ but that’s impossible! Did you ask her to turn around, Sart? That’s some serious urban moccasins on that showgirl!
October 20, 2008 at 8:47 pm
Loooooove this…. except for the shoes.
October 20, 2008 at 8:54 pm
There’s something wrong about this look that somehow also seems right. The more I stare the more it grows on me!
October 20, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Wow, I love this combo. The jacket is fabulous with that dress.
October 20, 2008 at 9:20 pm
i love the way that she is peering, as if hopeful to see someone. beautiful picture.
October 20, 2008 at 9:32 pm
I love this jacket and really the whole outfit!!!
October 20, 2008 at 9:43 pm
i loove the colors
October 20, 2008 at 9:48 pm
Looks like she’s peeing.
Original pose. Something different than the usual shot-from-the-front.
October 20, 2008 at 10:33 pm
Only for those under 25
October 20, 2008 at 10:39 pm
I love how awkward this pose is.
October 20, 2008 at 10:56 pm
Chucks are so versatile
October 20, 2008 at 11:28 pm
I love how she is on her tip-toes, with her back to you. That’s what makes the picture.
October 20, 2008 at 11:50 pm
I love that this is the same woman taking a picture of the little girl a few posts down- so much style in one outing!
October 21, 2008 at 12:28 am
I like this. Not so much into the leather All Stars, but I have a pair of clear vinyl one’s myself. Love the stripes and the purple. Is it a skirt or a dress? Very cool.
October 21, 2008 at 12:29 am
Cute..i love the jacket. The cocktail dress and ratty old shoes combo looks great here.
October 21, 2008 at 1:04 am
Love the colours and boxiness of the jacket.. but this girl looks like she’s taking a leak
October 21, 2008 at 1:45 am
I’m loving the Parisian glasses trend you’ve been highlighting recently.
Also her jacket combines folk-art with good tailoring in such an exceptional way. Lovely, lovely photo!

Love the colours..
October 21, 2008 at 4:00 am
That’s what makes this blog so interesting…all different kind of people, ages and styles…Her dress/skirt is wonderful and in sharp contrast with her shoes … I’m not a fan of her jacket but it does make this outfit complete…It works !
October 21, 2008 at 6:21 am
Now, this is a KILLER outfit! Loving it! If only I could pull that style off! :)
October 21, 2008 at 8:22 am
Wonderful pose.RegardsGiovanni B.
October 21, 2008 at 9:06 am
love love love. The jacket is amazing and the shoes are a perfect contrast.
October 21, 2008 at 10:33 am
omg. omg. i’m almost hyperventilating, i love this so much.the shoes ESPECIALLY.my only issue is that her posture looks like a man at a urinal…(sorry, TMI?)
October 21, 2008 at 11:39 am
the shoes are great! the whole outfit is gorgeous
Funky cool! I love the high top sneakers (Chucks?) with the multicolored cropped jacket and pleated mini.
October 21, 2008 at 12:08 pm
I love on a good rainbow. That’s a good rainbow.
October 21, 2008 at 12:32 pm
I threw those sneakers out 35 years ago!
October 21, 2008 at 12:37 pm
The dropped waist on that dress is perfect. The violet color is also a plus.
Now about that pose, she looks like she’s peeing… like a man.
October 21, 2008 at 1:01 pm
is she whizzing? great jacket.
October 21, 2008 at 1:32 pm
she wears cool glasses and sneakers , but she’s so cuteâ
October 21, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Is this the lovely Rei Shito again?
October 21, 2008 at 4:25 pm
perfection, and the proportion to + posing.
October 21, 2008 at 6:28 pm
I swear I was looking for a puddle on the ground! Or maybe the close is not clear yet…she’s looking. Sophisticated punk! She is so awesome!
First the jacket caught my attention. But that skirt is coolness in a bottle! Shake it up to make a fizzy explosion!
October 21, 2008 at 8:12 pm
I can’t warm up to the shoes. Also, at this time of year, I’d favor ribbed tights picking up a color from the jacket to keep the whole lines composition going.
October 21, 2008 at 9:16 pm
A suggestive pose indeed. . . and that’s what keeps us looking.
October 21, 2008 at 11:14 pm
the jacket is fabulous!
October 21, 2008 at 11:48 pm
is she pissing?
October 22, 2008 at 5:40 am
Hummm !!!!! Sexy !Les couleurs de ses vĂȘtements se marient trĂšs bien en plus.Belle photo.
October 22, 2008 at 8:11 pm
I just noticed that Rei is wearing this outfit in the photo of “Little star, paris” a little further down….
October 23, 2008 at 4:36 pm
The jacket is by the designer from Tokyo she photographed in her blog.
She sure knows how to rock it…
October 24, 2008 at 2:18 am
I love this photo, I’d love to see this from the front too. Are the pleats tiered or patterned? I have a crush on tiers.
October 28, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Yay! She’s my favorite of all the people whose pics you post on a regular basis. I thought last time that she had cut her hair, but I guess it was just pinned up.
I love how we all recognize her, even from the back. When you know someone ANYwhere, even when you can’t see her face, you know she has style. :)
October 30, 2008 at 12:15 pm
nice jacket…looks like she’s takinn a piss though, he he he
November 2, 2008 at 1:17 am
um…the pose is not great. she looks like she’s trying to pull out a wedgie, or worse. it looks almost vulgar
