On The Street……Prince Street, Soho

When I started this blog it was because I wanted to capture images of guys on the street that inspired me in the way they were dressed.
Big details, little details, whatever.

This is a great example of how I use this blog. I have a great pair of slim fit Rugby khakis that I bought right before my June trip to Milan. I had them shortened and they fit great in the butt, leg, and waist but they always seemed a little wide at the bottom for my taste. I kept debating if I should have them tapered but I just couldn’t pull the trigger. I was looking at this photo and realized that this is how my Rugby trouser should look. – slim but also sporty. I did my own take on a slight roll at the hem and I really like it.
When I dry clean them I always ask for a good clean crease so I can still wear them serious in the first wearing and roll them for the second wearing for a more sporty look.

The cuffed trousers with the Converse, that’s such a great retro/au courant look. His expression is wonderful.

I love everything about him. Can’t stop looking. Same thing with the slick back earlier today. Is it the camera perhaps?

loving this turned up trouser cuff look. this was my staple attire for all of summer. it also works well with brogues(no socks) and a two or one button blazer with a tie or pocket square. i first saw it in a look book for a store called tiger of sweden.

hello, i agree with lopine, everything looks great but it is his smile and attitude which struck me.

On a different subject, and because there is not yet a forum on this blog, I am throwing an sos on this thread.

I often (very often) wear chukka boots with everything, grey flannels, jeans, suits etc. I have 3 pairs of the same model, from New&Lingwood in Jermyn Street (the best ones, unlined). I have therefore developped a habbit of wearing ankle boots and now that I have moved to the tropics want a pair of ankle boots dirty bucks (with linen or seersucker suits). I used to own a pair from Walkover but they have closed and cant find the equivalent anywhere. Help please.

    Thanks

if I’m not mistaken this is one of the “Who wears Thom Browne?” fellows from the Feb.20th post.

He falls under the, how to wear a white shirt flawlessly category.

My first reaction was Stephen Chow in Kungfu Hustle and a little like Bruce Lee hehe…I like these looks, simple with some twists, casual yet has an air of elegance.

Yes, but–picky, picky, picky–I don’t favor the careful, too deeply rolled shirt sleeves.

Fights the casualness of the rest….

This guy is just terrific-looking! More a combination of things than anything in particular, he just looks so relaxed with himself – love it.

I love this so much. Plus, check out his glasses! I am determined, as a woman, to find a way to pull off this kind of look without calling to mind the UPS guy, or looking like I’m wearing my band uniform pants from 8th grade.

He is totally timeless. What I love is that we could see this young man in any era and he would look just as sharp.

Where do you find rugby pants? I think the cut of them would look great on my boyfriend. Love this page by the way, keep it up!

I’m also interested in hearing more about these pants. Poking around the web I find that “rugby trousers” in the UK means not slim-fit khakis but elastic (!) or drawstring (!!) horrors meant apparently to play rugby in. That’s not quite what I have in mind!

Now, THIS is an example of preppy-cool done right. The shorts guy in a later post is ALL WRONG.

I love the rolled trousers. It’s so urban-chic but I still worry that this style might go out fast a la the tight rolled jeans of the 80′s. Nonetheless, I will rock it until I feel it needs to stop.
