Ooh flares, it takes a brave man to tackle them! But this particular gentleman looks so clean and sharp, his silhouette is impeccable! He definitely carries them off with flair.
Swedish knit pants? Back to the future, indeed. I bought a pair in 7th grade, 1975-6, and wore them with Earth Shoes. Same boot cut and color, but with stitching along the outside seam.
Several people mentioned a cowboy look, but I’m not getting that at all. Much more like one of the minor characters from Saturday Night Fever. Well spotted.
Sigh. This man’s look reminds me of my stylish dad (requiescat in pace). Dad was a blond but had the same sleek slight build and I have photos of us from the 70s where he was wearing the same type of slacks and shoes. So nice to see today — thanks.
He is as french as he can get, LOVE iT.. his name if… I’m not mistaken is Christopher Niquet, also Zac Posens partner and right arm. He is a great stylist and Ive always admired his own style.
I really how this man he is dressed. Flare pants, a jeans shirt and this hat, everything is made to be classy but without exageration. So this is what we commonly call being “effortlessly chic” :).
To me he looks like he is ab0ut to break out in a dance. There is something Bob Fosse – Fred Astaire about the elegance and slim silhouette. This is one of my most favorite images from Sarto! So lovely.
the trousers look fantastic on him – slender, elongated legs for a modern but elegant cow-boy style. I think he pulls it off quite impressively. http://lookbook.stylealphabet.com/
Like a vintage picture from 70s – eveything: the light, the whole outfit, buildings – all that things make retro mood, which is so natural, no studied. Great picture!
I love the look from the waist up, but I’m not feeling the pants. I’m trying, but I just can’t! I think it might be the boots. Paired with the pants, maybe it’s too literal an interpretation of the 70s?
A beautiful man with lean physique and a unique style…but certainly no resemblance to a cowboy. No western style in this ensemble. Agree that it is more 70′s retro.
This reminds me of photos of my father that I find in old albums and even older shoeboxes around the house. The first half of this look is obviously very cool and stylish, but once I scrolled down and saw the flare and the shoes – wow.
Hmmmmm…. 1972 or 2012 ? Looks like a costume party ensemble or a literal interpetation of the 70s rather than modern fashion
But still enjoyable and sexy
I have mixed feelings about this outfit. I am not sure if an average Joe can pull off this ensemble without the proper lighting and great photography we are seeing right now. It does look chic on this guy.
He is just great!
