OMG she pulls it off so well as it she wasn't wearing a tonne of rhinestone. If i did that I'd look like I was dressed up for Halloween as a fortune teller. Maybe it's becasue she doesn't have dark features.
Your selects are continuously and instantly amazing. I have to say that I love almost all that you "see". The jewelery here is fantastic – Navajo/Nepal(ese) and what looks like sea anemones are so fresh 70's.
She glows!! I love the colors, the way her complexion matches her jewelry, the jewelry itself, that ring!, the lighting. The sun is out and birds chirping here in Chicago, and this lovely glow makes it feel all the more springy. Although, how beautiful would she be just the same against a mountain of snow glistening in the sun. She's perfect!
Sometimes more IS more! Love it all – earrings, necklaces and rings. Also, perfect makeup and hair to set it all off. Not to mention the cool trench too.
Very nice pic! It is rather funny / ironic that she is wearing so many costume jewellery Place VendĂ´me, which is one of the most famous places for high jewellery in the world!
I’m in love with her abundance of sparkle – She wears it well. I wish I could see the rest of her outfit. Did she go simple and clean or is it just as extravagant as her accessories? Her blond hair swept up and away and her simple make up helps her pull off this look. Her trench with its delicate details is great. When are you going to catch me?
while my first impression was 'over done/overly accessorized,' i like that her outfit/hair/makeup are otherwise simple and i think she works this quite well.
i love how all this jewelry could be way too much yet she pulls it off..just a stunning put together. I would look like a total wack! Love from snowy Milan…again!!
she should meet the guy you featured a couple of weeks back, the one cloaked in fur and skins head-to-toe and drenched in this kind of jewelery. too much then and too much now. *sp
those. earrings. *dying* it's so hard for most to pull off such a streamlined look with so MUCH happening (sparkles everywhere). would love to see the rest of the 'fit.
LOOOVE IT! UNAFAID OF EXUBERANCE, IT'S SOO RARE! CONGRATS, BLONDIE! U R GOORGEOUS!!!!!!!!! LOVE THE EARINGS, LOVE THE NECKLACE, LOVE THE RINGS! STUNNING!
Turq my fav, only a clear faced beauty could pull this off so well. Love the long sleeve sweater partially covering her hand, really hi-lites the ring.
Very Santa Fe. Not something I would do, but she pulls it off. I hope those are clip-on earrings, or she's going to have Maasai-size holes in her earlobes.
Sometimes the "white noise" approach to something (in this case, jewelry) works, but that just looks like she's wearing every piece of costume jewelry she owns. I wonder what it looks like without the coat on. Sorry – just not feeling it. Of course, she's a beautiful girl and could prob. wear a dead cat around her neck and look good……….
It seems superfluous, but this really is like a shaft of light in the dungeon of winter. So beautiful. Personally, as I have exactly this colouring, I've honed in on her eyebrows to see what she's done with them. Mine are invisible without eyebrow pencil and I'm always wondering about whether to go with a greyish tone or a brownish tone. Looks like she's gone with the brown. The things we worry about! Anyway, love the jewels, love the 'don't care what you think' attitude, love the serenity. That ethereal light! How do you do that?
This is a beautiful example of individual self-expression via personal wardrobe choices. her jewelry makes me want to know more about her because it is so interesting. I wonder if she bought those ethnic pieces while travelling to fascinating places.
Demure meets extravagant! Nordic priestess meets Africa Adorned! The turquoise rocks that rock! Is this Michelle Jank, the designer from Perth? She is just as beautiful as the clothes she makes. I wish I could afford them.
Those earrings are magnificent. Love the touch of turquoise with the mustard and sparkle. The earring has been a bit forgotten lately, losing ground to the ubiquitous long necklace. Nice to see these with such drama for day.
Beautiful balance between minimalism and excess — simple, subdued clothing juxtaposed against a riot of jewelry (mixing modern and ethnic/antique styles), opposites in texture and color that create an arresting visual harmony. It reminds me of the paintings of Gustav Klimt, with those sweeping lines broken up by bits of intricate detail.
I love how the color palette is so extraordinarily thoughtful — the matte, grayish scarf picks up the coolness of the steel/silver/white/pearl jewelry tones, while the slightly yellowish tan of the coat makes the warm-toned buttons and coral-orange/turquoise-blue stones pop.
Combining paste (?) and semi-precious stones with silver hand-crafted pieces looks fresh here. A clutter of expensive, showy precious stone pieces would have come across as vulgar and obnoxious.
The fact that she chose a classic trench with those unusually-colored and shaped buttons is genius. As small a detail as it is, it pulls the whole look together.
Wow, her jewerly is amazing! Never would have thought to put together so many accessories into one.Btw, absolutely love your blog and photos. They help me get through my workday :)
I have to say, i kind of feel like i'm in an alternate reality, where someone descided it's cute to look like a high-end baglady. don't get me wrong, the peices(and the woman) are lovely; but, all together it's just too, too, too darn much.
In addition to the captivating accessories, you have to have that certain knack for just effortlessly assembling and balancing different pieces. Which she certainly has. Beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful!!! I love this kind of jewels for a casual look. They has the property to turn it into a sofisticated look, and that's so cool. :-)
The torquoise suits her colouring beautifully, though I would like less of it (and less of all that clutter around her neck). It's like she's just come back from her Arizona vacation.
The jewelry could have gone so wrong so easily, but it is just so right! The ring, absolutely stunning, and if it was her design, I'm going to have to get her number! Wonderful outfit, very intreagued to see the rest!
this is michelle jank. she is a desinger and makes her own jellery. not sure about the rings but the necklace and earrings look like something she would make. she's amazing!! and she's actually Australian.
What a gorgeous photo! I feel like most of the time that many accessories would be considered over the top, but she does it so well and looks so casual and elegant regardless.
Some people have the gift to coordinate this much ..some simply dont….. Less is always less… more is always more…. its chic its fun…i cant understand..when did we get so basic..so minimalist …. so black and white…. it bores me to the bones sometimes … this website is enlightenment…..some may say.. its kinda out of reality… but reality is a particular world….. why would you die for another peoples world… when u didnt even try living yours……
I know it sounds strange but the first thing I thought when I saw this woman is she must be Australian. Maybe it's that beautifully open, sun-kissed face, but something about her just seems quintessentially Antipodean…

Turquoise, on a man or a woman, is always refreshing especially in the winter to me.

Beautiful.

I feel inspired by this to get over my fear of big jewelry and over accessorizing. Have been doing the Calvin Klein simplicity thing for too long.
Will start this summer by getting large colourful earrings.
