I like everything about this outfit expect the socks. She could have expressed the same mood with a more automnal color to fit the outfit. Navy? Dark purple? Mustard?
But I think the outfit would be best with ankle socks.

I’m thinking scrunched-down socks in a fairly thick wool–cable-knit, perhaps–in a classic ragg-wool color. They would, I think, really highlight the shoes & the proportions of the outfit.

I am not sure…I think that the scrunched down wool socks would work with ankle boots, especially those with a medium heel, rather than a classic pair of brogues, but to each their own!

. I like how the stripes on the socks echo the stripes on the rolled up jacket sleeve. Sop this is just right for me.

Extremely cute. Love the haircut, love the jacket with the upturned collar. She has a bit of that cool 80′s vibe as well. So good to see.

The best thing is her expression. So pensive. Giddy smiles are great for summer, but as the wind grows chill, I would rather see something with more depth. The light, the color combination, everything here is fitting the mood.

There is simply no excuse for her choice of socks and shoes.

This is a great look…except the socks. I respect this woman’s choice but I think different colored socks would have really made this look fabulous on her.

I love the way she does the hair! And the match with loafer.
Why with the socks?? Though socks is a hit item recently, it’s a weird trend…

    Hi Scott,

I’m form a place where things happens after 5 years after those fashion leading cities/countries from where you are use to make the photos.
And I’ve noticed on this pic and on the previous one (the gentleman with the hat) what seems to be the same glasses format and material -wear by the woman out of focus on the left side, and the mentioned guy seen on the other picture. So my question is, were these glasses were given at some sort of event from where these persons are just coming out, or is a current trend there, or just another happy coincidence? also, the man on the right side is wearing dark thick glasses, though different shape, and of course the subject woman is wearing dark frame ones.

Recently, with all the coloured socks and weird sneakers abounding on this site, I am reminded of the old ladies with alzheimers in my mother’s “home.” They, too, dress like this, with everything mismatched. I was sitting in the lounge the other day at a sing-a-long wishing I had my camera. If the ladies had been younger they might have appeared here.

    It’s a fact.

Not usually. Usually it just happens in Paris first…then it goes everywhere else.
