I noticed this season how successfully young ladies in Milan were mixing large scale florals with striped knits.
Usually the knit highlights at least two of the colors in the floral pattern.

Harajuku arrives in Milan (rather than vice versa).

I like both subjects. However, I hope that the coat worn by the woman on the right has a detachable collar. The pattern is great, but the safety orange faux fur collar detracts, and not adds.

Florals and stripes are made to be complementary! Love both takes. The one on the right is especially exciting with that punch of juicy red — takes it into primary territory (the green is quite yellow in places), and adds a very fun edge!

The women in Milan stole the show this past season. Amazingly colorful outfits, combing lots of pattern and texture and full of life. They really stood out amongst every other place.

Thanks for this. Really appreciate some “floral” right now. I’m winter-weary. Floral on everyone! Please. (P.S. I could pass on the safety orange collar, also. Definitely detracts from the outfit.)

Woman in the green looks like the coat is wearing her, with her head as the accessory.
