She is so beautiful, a Nordic angel, and I love her makeup, hair and necklace. However I don’t think that is a very flattering waistline for her. Nonetheless, she is beautiful.
Ethereal shot. Modern hair and girly dress combo with sweet necklace on beautiful girl. Then those contrasting Oxfords! Sometimes find NY too flawless, Paris too arch, London too ‘cool’. Stockholm’s dancing to its own drummer- style not fashion: love it.
It’s Vendela again! You captured her during your last trip to Stockholm as well. She’s adorable, and has a great sense of style, though I’m not too fond of the dress she’s wearing here.
Of course, now I long to move to Stockholm–simple-yet-gorgeous clothes and a national health care system! Although I’m still having trouble adjusting to some of these mid-eighties looks–I associate them with my mother and what she was wearing essentially from about 1984-1994 (and although she is a talented woman she’s never been interested in fashion), also with certain unhappy junior high school graduation memories of my own. Some of these clothes look frumpy to me–or rather, to me they read as “frumpy for ironic reasons”. (I did go through an “early eighties suits” phase myself back around 1999, with that goal in mind.) It’s really helped me to realize how people who care about how they look can end up looking out-of-date in a bad as opposed to a classic way–I could easily see myself staying with looks I’ve liked over the past eight or nine years merely because it’s hard for my eye to adjust to anything else. So, onward now to high-waisted pants!
I’m loving these Stockholm shots — such a clean and classic look, occasionally leavened with just the right amount of quirkiness, as in the vintage-cardiganed cyclist below or the rolled full black pants of the young woman below that. Fit is noticeably impeccable in all these shots also.
The dark eyes and black and white shoes are a perfect balance for the light-washed dress and pale skin. She’s gorgeous. I think I remember always wanting to look like this, but then I got to old to care…
The shoes are too heavy for the lightness of the dress. The necklace is too long (extending beyond the waist) and the style is too modular for such an airy summer frock. The dress is a lovely shade of blue for her complexion however the waist is too high and creates a box out of her torso. Her heavy eyeliner is a nice contrast with the dress and makes more of a statement than if she had gone with something more subtle. her hair goes along with her eye liner, it’s a little punk rock meets country bumpkin.
This is the same Gwyneth Paltrow/Christy Turlington look-alike you shot at another time. I thought most of your subjects are shot randomly, chosen as you see them on the street.
The lighting of this shot particularly suits her beauty, I think. So lovely! It’s interesting, too that she chose such heavy eye makeup with such an otherwise light look. Adds a great edginess, I think

I can not believe how many comments this post has garnered. Sure, she is very beautiful, but her style is completely uninteresting. I actually think her outfit is downright dowdy.
