Agree! Shoes are the best thing about this look. Practical, comfortable and stylish. Her whole look is uber cool but the shoes are the clincher. The remind me of leather books and libraries, cigars and horses in paddocks, yet the rest of her apparrel is not matched to this austhetic which is why I absolutely love it.
The proportions of the coat against the cuffed, ankle jeans gives this woman a great stance. I love the styling of the outfit with the monk-strap shoes…a good mix of feminine and masculine for a chic tomboy look.
There is nothing particularly amazing about this ensemble buts the wearer looks great that’s what I like about the selection it’s not suffocatingly out-there and it’s still original and clean its not cluttered by too many ideas…
It’s a mistake to take my imaginary interpretation of the image too literally. That’s my take of the feel of the look. I don’t actually believed that’s what happened. I do hope you enjoy your shoes and they don’t make your feet look big.
i know this was never your intention but… you are going to need to start creating arrows and bubbles around your photos to tell us where each piece of clothing comes from! i’ve got major amounts of envy building up here.
I think this look is great for guys but not for women.. I think we should highlight our femininity instead of hiding it. Even when we talk about those a la men suits that ale in fashion now but there is something sexy about them , not this though.
