I generally abhor long skirts, and although she does manage to pull it off without looking like an old lady, it would be much cuter if they were really wide pants (which is what I thought she was wearing at first glance).
I am totally surprised by this!! I didn’t expect to like the long denim skirt because it’s religious and conservative look but it totally rocks on her.
I looked at the photo for a long time to find out what is different about it. I think it’s the interesting position of front pockets, the stitch detailing a few inches above the hemline and the sexy tank top.
Long skirts are a favorite of mine! Just wanted to say thanks for blogging, I moved to LA two years ago and really miss NYC street fashion. Sometimes I’d walk to work and run across someone that looked so great, I was inspired to draw it before I forgot. I miss feeling inspired like that, so this blog satisfies that craving for elegant clothing! Thank you so much!
One of YOUR BEST yet, Sart! Love the young lady, love her dress, love the fact that she looks like a lady. Classy, elegant, subtle, appropriate for time and place. Actually, she’d be appropriate anywhere, thus her universal appeal.
You know, for many of us in the hinterlands, you are our choice for understanding fashion out in the big metro world. I appreciate your work. xoxo, Lady
