On The Street……Nolita, New York

I’m not usually big on red but I like this. I guess it is the casualness of the jeans that make it work for me.

Love the whiskers and the magnificent jacket. I just wish he had enough nerve to just follow through with nice snug trousers instead of opting for the ubiquitous, tired pair of jeans. Casualness is boring and overrated–let’s see some brave, rare birds on the street!

I think this gentleman has found H.G. Wells time machine and is the former lover of Anna Karenina.

You gotta respect a guy that does not conform to the latest looks and develops his own personal style.

    Congrats!

the jacket strikes me as velvet, not a cord jacket.

This guy has got to have them big, brass and hangin’ low to pull of that stache. I’m a fan… I just wonder how the stache holds up to a heavy kissing session. Wax on..Wax off.

If you do an image search on google for John Singer Sargent and Dr. Pozzi, you will see the original of this look – the dark facial hair and the red. Beautiful.
P.S. Sartorialist, I love your blog. And the archives.
