Hi!!! You're so lucky, always on the go… I live in a very small city in Italy and I'm trying to an interesting fashion blog but is not easy because I can't go around the world like you… Anyway, your photos are amazing…congratulation!!! Kiss Eli.
Oh my! This is truly fantastic. Goes down as one of my favorite photographs of yours this year. Incredible. Love the background, the colors, the movement of the dress, the red lipstick and the pops of magenta. Well spotted, Sartorialist!
the little red ribbon on the case kills me. and the troika of ruby red on this porcelain cherub makes this my all-time favorite photo on thesartolialist.com.
great way to start our Sunday as we head off to church. thank you.
Wow! Everything about this shot is perfect, the dark background, the wind, her expression, the textures, the colours, the items, the entire look, just a perfect shot.
She has certainly nailed the Victorian look, right down to the case & shoes! I always find it incredibly impressive when people pay so much attention to detail – it gives the outfit so much integrity.
It took me a while to comment because I couldn't stop staring. The woman and her outfit are just gorgeous. Love the color and materials here. Great photo, Mr. Sartorialist!
I appreciate something that grabs your imagination and transports you to another moment. The colors are beautiful but the ribbons are what really draw me in.
Something surreal about her face and skin tone…nice color palette. I like the background…it helps the compound the hues in the gown and her coat. She can't be warm but she looks great!
this is pretty but a little bit impractical for the weather we've been having lately! and I know I will never find out, but I'd love to know how you chose your subjects… there are way too many cool kids in London to select just a few. Esp like this one.
I think this photo is the best so far! This woman has such an amazing personal style!. I love it! The colors are rich and everything just works so well, down to the last detail… Makes me think of a recent Marc Jacobs collection…
Whooooow… This girl definitely knows how to present herself. She looks so British and classy. I love th combo of country and classy stules. Very boho xoxo
gorgeous old school england … love it …. and that old briefcase, so much character and class, with the little red ribbon for accent …. beats the typical designer bag any day!
I believe this is my favorite picture you have posted on your blog. I love everything about it: the textures, the draping of her dress, the edginess of her boots contrasted with the gossamer nature of her dress. I love her use of a small old suitcase (?) as her "purse." Most of all, the pop of color. Bravo!
Little Blue Bright of the world and almost butterspread, What a vision, I hope you’re not a vision, Could you be what I feared so long to lose?
You little blue, you fresh breath of streets, Cling to you do airs of pity and pitiless leaving; Mon cheri, I’ll try to speak some other way.
Do you carry some poor prisoner in your suitcase? I’d bundle myself for the long haul to be packed Convenient and carried to any way station by you.
If problems could be solved and such by love, And by some chance or if perhaps you wandered under My window, then perhaps by you a wind raised might change.
Littlest blue, girl sweetness brushed in light, Us rid of our jokes and palest promises to self, You little blue, you scattering of cloud, besides.
This is heavenly, I can see her as an immigrant in the East end a hundred years ago, and this is meant in the bet way possible, her expression is evoking pure emotion
the colors, the lipstick, the pale skin. the way the dress just hangs like that on her shoulder. its all so beautiful. but.. the little brown case with the bow just almost gets too cutesy. But overall. this is one of the best pictures I've ever seen on this site.
Simply stunning. This is classic "Alice in Wonderland" meets Anthrapologie. How she mixes bold color with a little taste of vintageness…definitely one of my favorite looks!!!
The richness of the colors and textures just takes my breath away. This is a wonderfully poetic photograph that sparks the imagination of the viewer. Kudos!
Excellent example of how to work with contrast. Her skin just looks sooo gorgeous, I mean the red lips with the blue and the little red ribbon… I also can`t imagine a better background for this shot; as I say LOVELY :)
Love love love her! Love that it's so apparent that she knows herself, and isn't afraid to be her. The bows are great touches to pull it all together. Like little reminders.
Oh, the beauty and the balance: saturated cool peacock and hot deep fuchsia; delicate gossamer and aged leather; prim coverage and lacy suggestion; opacity and transparency; porcelain flesh and stark black tights; dramatic dark backdrop and luminous, overcast-day light; soulful eyes and bold lips that offer innocence and knowing.
One of the the most exquisite images I've ever seen on this site. Gorgeous and immaculate. And the arabesque of that wind-tossed hem is just sublime. It's like silk calligraphy.
Love the cute and innocent look with a hint of rebel. The combination of colors and fabrics amazing. Perfect little bag that contrasts with her boots. A perfect example of London chic. A fashion lover from Barcelona.
What beautiful colours! One should absolutely wear colours during the winter season! I really like the movement/wind in her dress and the way she's holding her suitcase as if it was the most important thing in her life
This is one of my favorites. She is beautiful and the look is unusual and terrific. It's especially lovely against the gloomy sky and dark, austere background. Makes me want to know more!
the picture is fantastic! The dress and the girl as well! I wish you could write something more about the origin of the dress. She looks like a modern version of Jane Eyre.
this is truly amazing – she looks like she's been teletrasported to planet earth but also like she belongs to the streets of London. Forget the catwalks copycats, unique personal style is all we need
she looks to me like russian-ulyana sergienko-wife of Forbes guy, she's famous for her vintage looks.but i think she has someone very prof who puts together her looks
What a beautiful photo! Colors are exquisite. Girl is ethereal. Photo could be turned into impressionistic portrait. Straight out of the Belle Epoque period. She must be a Russian ballerina dancing for The Royal Opera. She looks physically strong, yet very thin. The contents of her tiny case must be her exercise clothes. This photo deserves to be hung in an Art Museum (anywhere in the world). Everthing is picture perfect.
The dress is gorgeous beyond words; the boots, the case, the ribbons are perfect, matchless complements; the smooth, powdery perfection of exposed skin, of her bare shoulder, neck and chest, begs to be lightly kissed; and the contrast of colours, textures and surfaces throughout is startling.
The richness and depth of hue is utterly sublime, the matching of ribbons and coat is witty and inspired……….
and to top it off, that bold stare, those eyes, those crimson coated lips and that daring, forward expression that cant be described as anything but boldly sexual, make this a longing, desirous, achingly beautiful vision of sensual loveliness.
This, for me, is a photographic rival of the oil paint Dutch Masters.
Its a masterpiece I’d say and I’d truly love to see an original print.
An invigorating visual feast, masterful work, much kudos and thanks to the photographer…..and of course to the model who is completely divine.
One of the most viscerally striking and beautiful images I’ve seen in quite some time.

Oh, this picture is pure love! Such exquisiteness!
Only question – did she take the jacket off for the picture? She seems to be a bit cold. Not only because of palette of clothes and pale skin.
Also have to love the lip color.
(The ribbon on the suitcase is too much for me for an already perfect look!)

I believe this is my favorite picture you have posted on your blog. I love everything about it: the textures, the draping of her dress, the edginess of her boots contrasted with the gossamer nature of her dress. I love her use of a small old suitcase (?) as her "purse." Most of all, the pop of color. Bravo!

Little Blue
Bright of the world and almost butterspread,
What a vision, I hope you’re not a vision,
Could you be what I feared so long to lose?
You little blue, you fresh breath of streets,
Cling to you do airs of pity and pitiless leaving;
Mon cheri, I’ll try to speak some other way.
Do you carry some poor prisoner in your suitcase?
I’d bundle myself for the long haul to be packed
Convenient and carried to any way station by you.
If problems could be solved and such by love,
And by some chance or if perhaps you wandered under
My window, then perhaps by you a wind raised might change.
Littlest blue, girl sweetness brushed in light,
Us rid of our jokes and palest promises to self,
You little blue, you scattering of cloud, besides.

Stunning, stunning, stunning !!!
Without a doubt my single favourite photograph.
