I may be totally out of the loop, but the back of the head seems an unusual place for a woman’s buzz cut. On the one hand, it does emphasize her long and elegant neck. But that teeny-tiny pony tail…
Her haircut is so different, it suits her I think. Those shoes can be classified as the thickest platforms of all time. It must be like walking on a block of wood compared with everyone else around you. She seems very concentrated on something. I like the light quality in this photo.
At first glance, I thought the glass of wine was floating, then I saw her graceful fingers holding it. I love the dress, belt and shoes that compliment her slender body, but mostly, I love the perspective of this shot : the foreground colors match the colors of the dress and the blurred background adds softness with yellow ocre and pinkish-red.
Amazing photo, as usual.
This pose makes me think about a striking silhouette.
She would sit in the same pose by a table with her right elbow resting on the top of the table her upper body bent forward a bit. Her upper body is in a sitting pose. She is focusing really hard on something trying to turn off the outside world by taking up a protecative yet relaxing position. Something is troubling her. She needs her drink and cigarette to cope with it for the moment. Nice dress, but she is not really there.
Wow. At first glance the surface looked like metallic fabric, reflecting in the light.
But then I read someone’s comment about the palm trees..a second look reveals a completely different image! Almost like an optical illusion.
