Honestly? You aren’t sure its a woman? She has a soft, very female back and neck, high heels, hair up in buns. Nothing about her looks anything less then very feminine. She could never be mistaken for a young boy or a grown man or anything in between. Its a woman. Do you have this problem in every day life, or is it only pictures that confuse you? No offense, just trying to figure out how the confusion is even remotely possible. What do you generally need to see to be sure you are seeing a female? A skirt?

I have never been one for overalls…ever…not even the “chic” ones (quotation marks very purposeful). But this pair, on this woman, with this styling…just takes my breath away. I love the feminine fit, the vintage cut, how beautifully they emphasize her shoulders and back. Couldn’t be more stunning.

wow HOT! The open back! I can’t believe I never saw or thought of an open back with these overalls! At least here in Holland this trend hasn’t arrived (yet?).
It’s so lovely with the hairdo, sorry if this sounds totally perv but it has something naughty, since the look is almost childish, but definitely sexy. It has something bold, daring about it, even though maybe this wasn’t her intention.

Nope. Sorry, does anyone else see what these are doing to her tush? Pancake butt. They may be trending for a while now but this is one look that should be left alone. Besides if the only way that the overall look is tolerable is with nothing underneath / Then perhaps it is really not so great to begin with.

Am I missing something? She has a beautiful back – no doubt about that – but the overalls seem ill fitting (esp on the legs), and the shoes don’t go. Like her hair though. I think she threw the clothes on (like we all do sometimes), rather than thought about it..

Very cool and relaxed. I like the b/w choice for the photo too. I forgot that in N America, you guys use “overalls”. In the UK, we say “dungarees” (with the emphasis on “ees”). Does that sound a strange word? Overalls for us is only used to mean like a boiler suit in workwear that goes over your regualr clothes. I love words! I love NYC too!! Wish I was there x

Odd. She looks just as casual–if not more s0–than the young lady in Milan and yet people are praising her “look” to the skies. And yet, the young lady in Milan is criticized for her “blah” outfit and this young lady is being lauded and applauded.
I wonder, Mr. Schuman, if your readers do not have a preference for NYC photos above all others?
I wonder if you had posted it as a pic from somewhere else if the kudos would be as forthcoming.
Personally, I love how she looks and it’s a good shot; but the, I loved your previous Milan shot as well. I’m merely questioning the validity of some of your viewers’ perspectives. Seem to be, at times, a little one-sided, which is a pity. There is much to be learned here.

Beautiful shot, beautiful outfit. The tailoring makes it: trim at the waist and hips, loose-but-not-too-loose down the legs (they are overalls, after all), just the right denim, just the right level of dip down the back to stay vaguely respectable. beautiful.
Does anyone know where a person could find overalls that beautifully tailored? Or even have them made?
