Those colors are astonishing. This pic is particularly welcome b/c I'm jonesing for some good, clear, sparkling sunlight–the mid-South has been wrapped in a miserable, humid, cranky-making haze for weeks. Thanks for reminding me that someday real weather may return. :)
I often think when I look at your photographs that I would never notice any beauty in your subjects if I saw them in person – it's your way of capturing and presenting them that makes them so lovely. But of course, you saw something, or you wouldn't have taken the picture…it must be amazing to have an eye like yours.
Because I seem to pay far more attention sometimes to what someone is reading than what someone is wearing, she is reading The $12 Million Stuffed Shark.
I love how the light accents key aspects of this lovely lady. The bold color that pops from the deep shadows gives drama to the photograph. It's a fabulous glimpse of a moment.
Love the sandals – so much more feminine than the chunky shoes so many ladies are wearing. The simple look is really fabulous. Would love to know what that sign on the bench says.
Gorgeous! The combo of the blue and red…her great hairstyle…her simple outfit…and where is she looking? You want to talk to her, learn about her. Fabulous photograph!
She is so beautiful and has gorgeous flowing hair. I am wondering though – is she wearing a top and skirt or a dress? Regardless, she looks simple and chic.
Beautiful picture with the mix of sunshine and shade. She looks so relaxed – makes me want to sit down on a bench in the morning, enjoying the sun and reading my favorite book or magazine!
I love black summery dresses. I even have a couple of black shirt dresses that are similar. That is a perfect example of how its done. Great sandals, too. You find the most amazing people.
unassuming, elegant style with the body to go along–wish I could pull that off!! Love your pictures, and I actually learn a lot from the comments about what makes good style. Please take more pictures of in shape, middle aged women (you do include more middle aged men which is great) with interesting style. We need lots of inspiration in this age group!! Thanks in advance……
Love the contrast of the red bench against the electric blue storefront. The subject looks cool and sophisticated though I think only a petite woman could have pulled off this look sans leggings …. there's too much upper thigh, here.
Nice pic. BTW, for all who think her dress is too short, she is actually wearing a black shirt with shorts. I can tell because I have the same shirt from J Crew.
