On the Street…..Moments Before the Storm, New York

60314BroadwayC3132Web

This was shot (while walking very fast)  last night, literally moments before the big rain shower.

The sky was almost black at 5:30pm (notice the car lights) but at this time of year it doesn’t get dark until 8:30 pm.

I love the super skinny rocker jeans with the very posh shoes.

Hmm, funny you should say that.
Being French and having grown up in NY, I’ve inadvertently developed an subconscious feel for who looks a certain nationality (it’s not foolproof of course). I personally think he doesn’t look French, albeit the look. I may be wrong, but there’s a little something that makes me think he’s American. :)

In any case, at least one good thing has come out of the long repost thread. The Sartman has gone back to posting what makes his blog interesting: normal everyday people and not just the fashionista fauna that can only be found in a limited number of posh streets.

I think it too. But not his clothing. His eyes made me think he was perhaps French. of course, being American means you could be anything at all in your background. And I LOVE a man with Gucci-style loafers. I have been looking for a pair in shade for myself. There is just something really sexy about a guy that wears loafers to me. Its so confident.

Yes, it’s a little blurry but nonetheless a great shot. He has great legs and even greater jeans.

Until a couple of years ago, tight, stretchy rolled-up skinny jeans would have been exclusively seen on women. I wonder if this look will remain or be a passing trend.

I still can’t get used to a bare ankle on a man. I know it’s cooler in Summer and it’s supposed to be casual. The shoe and the leg always look better to me with the cuff down and the perfect length. Am I wrong Scott?

Back in the day, sixty years ago or so, those were known as “peggers”. Usually a pack of cigarettes was rolled up in the sleeve of a white t-shirt and the hair was a marcel with slicked back sides. It signified bad boy status, which of course was devastatingly attractive to girls. I don’t think girls and women took up pegging their own jeans until sometime in the 60s, though. We weren’t even allowed to wear pants to school until 1971….

I thought those were Gucci. They are DIVINE, especially worn in this manner. I’m a girl, but I want to dress just like this.

Totally love everything about his look. Loved the hair, jacket and skinny jeans and how the shirt and shoes softens the edge in his rock and roll look. Hope he knows how great looking he is!
