AGREED! Beautiful outfit, but her feet look horrendously squished and tortured in those ridiculous shoes. Makes the beauty of the outfit take a sad turn..the foot was not meant to bend (or walk) in the position.

I love the masculine and feminine combination and as I stroll down…..
Gasp ! The shoes ! This young woman is lucky to have that natural curve of her foot (like a dancer) that allows her to wear those vertiginous heels !

I have a very high arch, so I can attest that she does indeed have one as well. I don’t think I could run in those, but I could walk comfortably for a day or so.
Its actually healthy to vary your shoes from high to medium to low heels. And if anyone tries to tell you any kind of nonsense about arthritis being caused by heels, they are lying. Its genetic.

I have a very high arch also…but that arch on her foot has nothing to do with the angle of her toes. That bend is extremely unnatural.

OWWWW! Her feet look so sore. My toes are curling in pain just looking at this. Brave choices, but not sure I like it as an outfit at all. All power to her though – she must be made of steel.

Her legs and feet are visibly rebelling against those shoes. They’re fun to look at, but I agree with @titi – there should be a balance between comfort and aesthetics in good design.

I would personally consider it torture…I’d like to refer to one of Garance’s posts earlier…flats are in…someone ought to tell this gal so she can stop torturing herself.

She looks pretty comfortable to me. In any case, if she likes them, who cares. The truth is somewhere in between. Its not in any way painful to wear heels, but you can’t move as fast or as nimbly, and this can be a pain in the behind. However, it feels really good, powerful and sexy to walk in heels. Sort of the way it feels to walk in boots. It gives you a feeling of badassery. So to each his own. She is an adult, and can make choices for herself. I am pretty darn sure this woman knows whats in! No need to tell her anything.

I would like to see her walk in those shoes. Most shoes like that look great when they are being posed in, but the second women try to walk in them, they can’t. Instead of sexy they ususally look pathetic — trying too hard.

Shoes like that are seriously evil and should be outlawed. Not because they are ugly but because they are dangerous to the wearer’s health. She could break her ankle very easily. I am not a fan of keeping up with fashion at the risk of injury. I have seen women trying to walk in shoes like this and they always look like they have a 2×4 stuck up their you know what. Not graceful and they look very, very silly.
