I’m all for the jacket. I’m also a sucker for a popped collar. I couldn’t help, but notice the pair of rings on his left hand. Sam Champion was on The Wendy Williams Show yesterday and explained his. I wonder if ” Mr. Popped-Collar” has a similar story. Nice shot, Scott.
Let me start by saying I’m a fan. But the men’s fashion posts you’re posting as of late are sub-par, at best. What is sartorial about this look? He’s wearing clothes – that’s where it begins and ends. That jacket looks ridiculous on him. And for a man who prides himself so on tailored clothing, this jacket looks like it was cut for Bubbles. And finally, the rings. What is there to say about a man who wears what looks like an engagement ring and a wedding ring? There’s nothing to say because it should never be done. Tisk tisk!
“should never be done”…
Your mindset is the very reason that I applaud those who break the rules and try new ways to dress and adorn themselves – the courage and imagination and joy they display and complete disregard of what we are constantly told is a proper way for a man to dress or a women to dress or what we are ‘supposed’ to only wear
Its 2013 – your statement is ridiculous
Touche to the rule breakers, the original thinkers and those who go their own way
And by the way – I think this dude looks fantastic and I love the skinny cut of his jacket, the muted color palette of his ensemble, the use of a pajama top as a shirt and the idea of wearing those rings – they look beautiful on him
“What is there to say about a man who wears what looks like an engagement ring and a wedding ring?”
How about this: He’s a very cool man who is not locked into a tiny, constrictive box of gender norms and who recognizes that the idea that an engaged woman should advertise her “taken” status while an engaged man should not is both sexist and illogical?
Touche ! Let no one be constrained or forced or fearful of expressing themselves as they wish, by close minded persons who feel the need to enforce their archaic and repressive notions of what is ‘acceptable’ for others to wear.
I love the idea of an engagement ring on a man! I tried to get my husband to wear one, and I think he kind of liked the idea of getting a diamond :) Engagement and wedding rings represent love, and it makes me feel happy to see that representation on a man since I enjoy it so much as a woman. If that makes any sense! Handsome man, too.
Not mad on the pyjama top myself but kinda fun at his age I guess (although his hair looks altogether more serious- dare i say Teutonic?). Good colour jacket and choice of trouser rather than the ubiqitous jeans (which is what I would have ended up wearing here!) and again, shoe choice would have been very interesting for us to see.
‘Ain’t he sweet’ is the first thing I thought. Beautiful hair and face, with Scott achieving just the right lighting and composition. I think the design, deliberate skinny fit, and colour of his jacket are ‘just right’ on him, the pants look good too and I am indifferent to whether that’s a realpyjama top half.
