This guy looks like he could stop traffic. Surely he needs a scarf though for Sartorialist perfection?

I love this look. Laid-back, relaxed, yet totally fashionable…great colours too.

I’d like it better if he had a little colour at the neck.

It’s refreshing to see non-pegged trousers again. The flat sneakers and the shortened pea coat in sand color is sophisticated.

That jacket is awesome. I want one for me AND my husband!

Should the headline be “Marais, Paris?”

He blends perfectly with the background of the photo, something about this man is timeless, his face has character, it dominates the space in the picture jet he is subtle.
Pea Coat is beautiful and hangs so well on his slender body, shoes tell me he is playful, this man has the aura of a street angel.

i think this is all too feminine on him. he looks like he’s just stolen a young ladie’s clothes.

i want the lady version of this outfit.

I don’t know–He is remarkably unkempt and the openess of his neck area looks cold and pitiful. A turtleneck and or scarf would fill in a basically well-proportioned look.

I dont like wide pants, but must say this man wear them great.

oh wow! this is the first man’s look for a long time that has really made me sit up and look at it for a lok time, it’s fabulous. i love wide pants on anyone- bring back oxford bags – and this guy hashe hemmed just right and the jacket is to die for with the exaggerated lapel and that curve of the buttons; with the gaulic pulled up collar i don’t believe he needs a scarf and plain converse are the only real shoe plain enough not to overpower the whole beautifully balanced look, right down to his wolfy eyes. great find, sart. happy friday!

I think it would be great if he was wearing a beautiful cologne as well..I know that’s weird to say, but it just struck me as quite necessary for some reason. It seems like using the smell of the cologne as an accessory of sorts would go just wonderfully with the simplistic almost ethereal feel.

I agree on stopping the traffic and on the scarf, but one of those “French scarves” like i like to call them, perhaps with a little touch of color? Anyway… I love this look!

What a great look?! This gentleman makes me wanna try on a pair of wide-leg pants right NOW! But truthfully, all these Parisians are already translating the Fall-Winter 08 looks into life… He looks effortless, chic and very sophisticated.

Do you mean Le Marais? If not, then my mistake. If so, then I’m not surprised that this man looks so amazing! From what I’ve heard, that particular neighbourhood seems to have a reputation for great culture and stylish people. He looks incredible.

i like it.. .it does feel very androgynous… we’re just more used to seeing women dressing in masculine styles…

This shot actually makes me a little sick that I don’t live in Paris! The colours in the picture is so well balanced and the bright poster makes it so now. This is also a brilliant example of how the cut of a jacket can enhance the body’s own delicate lines and give the person some stamina and frame. The look reminds me a little of a mix between a Tolstoy-era russian uniform and a 1940′s golfer or tennis player. This is how I prefer “retro” with a modern, personal twist. I am convinced he is an interesting bloke to play so elegantly with his silhuet. überchick, well done mr. sartorialist.

I can’t pinpoint why… but I really like this photo! The way he’s parted his hair for some reason really goes with the “young-ish” clothes he’s got on and he looks very cool and must say, has done a great job pulling it off.

Loving it! Absolutely amazing look. So languid, relaxed yet sharp. The exaggerated volume of the trousers is made casual by the immortal Converse in such a perfect understated way.

I even love the subtlety of the ensemble of different shades of grey.
