No – it has to be two different things.
One is checking something that is scratching her back. The other is using the phone as a mirror, looking for something in her eye.

I love this spontaneous shot! The light, the frozen movement, the girl checking her contact on the glass and the other the hang tag on her trusers which is probably bothering her.

@anonymous you would've known that going closer to a screen doesn't help in this case. She'd better made shadow with her hand if sunshine was the problem.
It's a strange situation indeed, if she's just looking herself in the mirror then why is she bent like this?
And about the leopard pants – I think maybe the knot went loose and she's trying to keep it fit with one hand while she's talking on the phone…
The shooter of the pic can tell us the answer since he probably stayed for a minute more and saw what happened – if the label showed, or she knotted the pants, and if the other girl has taken a photo she would look at it to see how well it turned out…

I don't know if anyone already posted this bc I haven't read all the comments. However, it seems to me that the one is checking the seam of her pants for the label so as the other can take a picture with her phone bc she liked her pants. Both seem to have quirky cute style, so naturally one inspired the other.

What I love about this photo is how little you know of the subject of their attentions. How you can guess: is it a label, fur patterns, a creative with her lens….you just don't know. Because it is so undefined, it leaves the viewer searching for what it could be, and you can't help be involved. Wonderful!

The lady on the right totally has her iphone upside down and is using the front facing camera as a mirror. I think it's totally unrelated to what her friend is doing with the pants other than they both seem to be primping themselves.

I'd say, the one the left is checking her eye shadow in her reflection of the screen. The red-head, happening to be holding her phone at the time, had an itchy bum due to the label on the inside of her neat B&W leopard sarouel.
And lucky for her that she hadn't forgotten to shave!
