I love her outfit! I am growing young again coming back to your blog after a year Scott. I love the camouflage, the green trim on her sneakers, her layered tops and the vintage fur. Not too sure about the giant bag, but who know what she’s up to today? She may have a change of clothes and lunch in there.
I’m not a fan of this outfit and the pieces are something I’d never wear, but there is still something quite striking about this shot! Love the perspective and I’m so curious about what she’s looking at!
Something about the fur throws the whole look off for me. Perhaps I am not big fan of fur, for obvious reasons. Regardless, aesthetically, give Driving Miss Daisy her fur back and rock your look with a little more edge.
I had to really ponder this shot and go over this outfit. I think I could get into it if the shoes were different. Be it a rugged boot (like a Blundstone), or an elegant urban ankle boot with a heel …. purple suede comes to mind.
It’s the sneaker. I just can’t get my head around the sneaker.
This look reminds me of what my best friend & I did in High School for one week. Just grab the first thing you saw in the morning & put it on – no don’t think it inspiring, chic, etc. etc. Just drab and pedestrian.
The sneakers don’t do this outfit any good, and I don’t think the jacket works either. I question whether this lady was actually trying to be “put together,” instead of just throwing stuff on when she went out the door.
I was thinking maybe she just threw on the coat just before leaving the house just because she needed a coat. I can’t decide if it looks intentional though or like she really just hurried to get dressed and grabbed anything.
She is very thought out looking. No one would every think she just threw that on. And the high low of the outfit works to perfection. Everything is tidy and wonderful down to the roll of her pants. Only someone that didn’t know much about fashion these days would question that.
I’m not sure if I’d shoot her for my blog ..I mean yes the outfit looks different, but is it nice…? It would have been better if the fur was darker or the light green darker. It just doesn’t seem right now in my opinion.
Symbolism? What symbolism? This look is all about beautiful scale and color combo. I would not call that beautiful fur coat “thrift store” either. And NO. Matching high end and low end things will never go out of style. Its always been a good idea and so it shall remain. Plenty of people like it, even if you don’t.
Nothing wrong with the “mismatched thrift store” look. You’re talking about it as if it was a trend but for some people it’s just a reflection of their attitude – whatever. Can you imagine that some people just wear whatever they actually like without overthinking it and trying to fit in? It’s great if one has their own style, especially if it fights the norm, because otherwise this world would be a rather dull place.
