Not a huge fan of the bag, but I love everything else. I so much prefer a delicate shoe, like this, as opposed to the chunky, platform type. To me, these are so much more elegant and timeless; I've seen too many women wearing platform shoes that made them look like they had hooves rather than feet.
She looks so happy and confident! Definitely a woman who doesn't let the clothes wear her. That red jacket is just perfect— the cropped sleeves, detailing on the pockets, and the closures are all wonderful. Thanks for posting!
i think this is the first picture on this blog that i do not like stylewise. i think it is the sheer pantyhose, she should have worn this outfit when it was warmer or just change into closed pumps. Nude hosiery and sandals don't mix well. It just puts me off immensely! I would lose the earrings as well. But red is really her color..
I've looked at this a few times and I have to say that I loved it initially but on second look I'm not loving the bag or the earrings. It's too much with the red, the shoes, the hair. I just returned to North America from Europe and although I love, love, love the feast for the eyes that is Europe, I often wish that women with this much money would edit out at least one thing from each look. For me, with the full hair, the large sunglasses, etc. there's too much here. The coat and the shoes alone would be perfect, without the glasses and with a more subtle bag. In that case the earrings could stay. Probably I would like this were it just the shoes and jacket. They're both stunning (so much so that I desperately want to copy them); no need to distract from their impact with the other items.
If hosiery makes her look so good, I think we should all run out and buy some. She looks like an heiress. What's up with the hose/sandals comments? What is NUDE hose for if not for bareness??? She's amazing, wonderful picture.
I must weigh in on the hose and open sandal problem. Everyone has said the woman's legs look especially great. And they do! And everyone loves the shoes. But of course the reason her legs look so great is because she has on–gasp–a very good quality nude sheer pantyhose. Her dilemma (and ours) is to wear the great shoes without hose, and perhaps have the legs look not so great (and maybe cold to boot), or wear the hose but not the great shoes. You decide. . .
I've seen so many people comment on her wearing nylons. To be honest, I am a 54 year old woman, and I don't understand how someone my age wouldn't need to wear them. Doesn't everyone this age have dings and imperfections that could use a little help?
I've actually stopped wearing dresses because I know that nylons are a no-no….
Amazing photo from her Jackie O glasses with silver dangling earings to her smile. She looks very classy and the red coat hangs gracefully while the bag is chic and those heels are just gorgeous!! Love those heels. Anyone know the designer of the shoes?
A women that cares about her appearance and wears her clothes with confidence always exudes beauty. This women has great stye, but more importantly her style shines b/c she wears it well and with confidence.
Why do you say nylons are a no-no? I think you misunderstood some commentators here. Some people, myself included, do not like nylons with sandals, despite the recent trend. My “rule of thumb” is: if it’s warm enough for sandals, leave nylons at home. Nylons with closed-toe shoes (pumps) look great, imo. I mean, when it’s under 60F (less than 15C) degrees, would you really go outside with bare legs? I doubt it.
What's not to like. Killer legs poured into sexy shoes. A classic coat in a beautiful tomato red. Let's not forget the sunglasses, earrings and bag are spot on. On top of everything, her most prized and vauled accessory is her confidence and smile.
