i really love the color scheme that she is rocking. it matches her complexion somehow. also the fact that she doesn’t see to be wearing anything under what looks like a windbreaker is very risky.
Terrific shot and terrific pants. I think they’d look great with a dressier top and a less fussy shoe, but then again you could do all kinds of things with them that would look great. I’d call the jacket color teal.
Also, I’m awed by the similarities between the pose and composure of this subject and the one directly above. Almost as if they’re both waiting/watching for the the same elusive secret to reveal itself. A remarkable juxtaposition, Sart.
“Oozing with coolness” is so on point here. Everything is spot on here and it’s easy to say she knows how to play with color and texture. This looks like a blue/green so I’d label it seaweed
She’s very cool! It’s killing me to look at her though! She’s not wearing anything underneath and then the open shoes! It’s January for heavens sake! Did she wear a jacket or a coat with this? We’ve got -5°C in Scotland and I wished I could leave the house without a thick coat and scarf! She doesn’t even seem to be cold!
This portrait and the one above are pure killer sir. The pose, the composition, the colors, that profile, so fantastic. And she reminds me of a very young Brigitte Nielsen (styled by Tom Ford Gucci era).
i wonder if the jacket matches her eyes – I can almost make them out thanks to that liner. The cut of those trousers – wowsers! I love it. Her toes must be frozen, but it sure works!
I Love this look – so gorgeous! It's strong, but still feminine – very rock & roll. It helps that she is stunning as well, though. She carries the look so well. I also like the absence of embellishment – jewellery, watch etc. The shoes are to die for! Very Chic!
Both of these me of photos I’ve seen from the Great Depression – stark and real. I don’t think there’s anything glamourous or fashionable going on here. These don’t seem like statements being made, but rather reality being lived.
This woman looks vicious, but troubled at the same time. Her outfit is brilliantly subtle, from the sea green jacket to the creased leather trousers…not even mentioning the pointed, strappy heels poking out underneath.
I love her look, laid back and easy while being “chic”! Great eye sart, now that’s fashion! Although her look is flawless I reiterate, “gladiator” like sandals would’ve wrk great with this as well, preferably earth-colored and had her wear a pair of aviator sunshades, ouch! Thats how close she is from a fashion mag shot!
This is SO gorgeous, and I think it shows the stylistic ‘continental divide’ around the world. If this woman was sitting on a bench in Chicago, the looks that she would garner would fall into the category of ‘how odd’ or ‘she must be in a band’ etc etc. Kudos to cities like Paris, London, Tokyo and New York to a degree, that function as wonderful ‘Petrie dishes’ of brave, and confident styles.
Not to mention, this is yet another gorgeous photo!
I’ve noticed that perhaps you love Florence more than other cities and since I’m going to visit this city in April I would like to know from somebody what can I expect!
Only a few woman can pull off those brown leather jeans. They’re bold and out there! Her gladiator sandles top this all off. She has this quiet yet strong presence in this photo. The look in her eye and the positioning of her body all give her that. It’s beautiful.
stunningly fashionable. the colors, texture, every little detail. plus a statuesque face. you can stare at this pictures for a few minutes still absorbing every detail and capturing the full frame. one of my Satorialist favorites so far.
I love the pants – the length that is a titch too long, the straps of her shoes (thank goodness, a closed toe – I’m tired of the current trend of open-toe-everything) and oh the beautiful hair…
But the blouson, I am not too crazy about. Love the colour, but the puffy sleeves give me pause. Just too roomy. Back to a positive note – I wonder what material the jacket is made of. Looks like silk, but likely microsuede?
Finally, even more positive, back to the shoes – what kind of heels did they have? Stack heel? Stiletto (if so, black or silver)?
It’s an interesting look. The combination of colours is nice. The fabrics, too! She seems dressed for the camera and not for the real life. The shoes make the look eccentric and let it”breathe”.This woman seems to have a natural elegance. What I don’t like is the partly shaved hair.
She is beautiful. Awesome. Flawless look: the leather skinny pants is simply marvellous. The shoes are very elegant: Gucci? And the sweater is the it piece of the season according to me: loose, light colour, technical material. I wish a got this touch of nonchalant elegance, the morning when i dress up… this morning was awful: I didn’t see any appropriate piece in my so called wardrobe… I should take a look at the new All Saints shop , frehly open in Paris. La Brigade de la Mode Paris
What IS the reason for French women looking so chic? Do they spend more on clothes? Surely they’re not all born with that sense of style! Please tell me!
I am speechless.. at 19 I aspire to look this amazing one day. My hair is a touch shorter than hers and I’ve been looking high and low for a photo of a woman with a partially buzzed head.
You are very lucky Mr. Schuman to see such gorgeous creatures on the daily.
Wonderful pic. It seems she is waiting for something very intriguing to happen. Beautiful eyes but I believe her nose was done… it looks quite artificial As for the clother: A! Great combination of color and style Shoes:C-! Unfortunately they don’t match, in my laygirl opinion she should wear either boots or flat shoes, nothing open.
I love her profile, the hair follows the profile perfectly. I am not so impressed with the Jacket. With the shoulders the way they sit in the jacket as well as the tell-tale zipper. The Jacket appers to be an old Members-Only jacet from somewhere back in the 1980s from J.C. Penny Dept store. The Pants are perfect for this woman What a fit! The shoes are reminisentOf a roman sandel. I Just Love the overall color palet in this shot. Perfect blends for stunning color on this woman.
two words….INNATELY STYLISH! She knows what works for her and wears it nonchalantly. this is evident in her hair cut,the fierce d&g leather pants thrown together with the more casual jacket. Bravo to her and you for capturing her. muah x marian.
the colours in this are so rusty, they complement each other very well! i love how her splash of hair is a similar shade to her leather pants (which by the way are amazing! where can i get a pair!) the shoes are great and add detail to the whole outfit! love it
I actually don’t like a thing she’s wearing, but the hair and facial expression are so compellingly cool that I accept the rest. The more I look at your blog, the more I understand what it is to be fashionable: clothes don’t make the man, they serve the personality.
absolutely love. you zara girl you! and ahh..for some reason i tohught the zara online store was only in europe..they finally have it for the states!! hurray!

Beautiful eyes but I believe her nose was done… it looks quite artificial
As for the clother: A!
Great combination of color and style
Shoes:C-!

Bravo to her and you for capturing her.

the colours in this are so rusty, they complement each other very well! i love how her splash of hair is a similar shade to her leather pants (which by the way are amazing! where can i get a pair!)
the shoes are great and add detail to the whole outfit! love it

I actually don’t like a thing she’s wearing, but the hair and facial expression are so compellingly cool that I accept the rest. The more I look at your blog, the more I understand what it is to be fashionable: clothes don’t make the man, they serve the personality.
