I have seen a lot of very cute jean shorts this summer. But those are not fitting her well at all. They are sliding down her hips so it looks like she has no waist, and shortens her legs, then the under layer poofs out in the front and back. What good people see in this is completely lost on me. Maybe is a good idea, but its so unflattering to her figure that I am not able to see the interesting idea. I suppose I just dislike things that make legs look short. Maybe if she wore a belt and pulled them up…
What an adorable look! Between the oversized gingham, boat shoes and the cute lace-y shorts, this picture is absolutely enchanting without being too saccharine! Love it! I think these shorts probably came this way, but it provides great inspiration to try and attempt them as a DIY project. Gorgeous!
I love these fun take on short shorts. They look fashionable, plus add an inch or two to the length, a good thing for those of us with great legs, but reaching the nebulous area of am I too old for this. ;-) In a casual situation, on a hot day, this look is smart, age appropriate, and comfortable, without being too bloomer-like. Another wonderful photo of someone clearly at ease with themselves, Bravo!
I used to have a pair of heavily faded, almost-Daisy-Duke cutoffs with ecru cotton eyelet lace I had added around the hems. Loved those shorts & wore them to death. They looked good with just about everything in my wardrobe at the time, especially combat boots.
Not loving the fit of the shorts. They are making her legs look short, her torso look amazingly long, and in general kind of making her look old, even though she isn’t. Overall I would say it look awful, no offense to the pretty lady.
