Lapo Elkann has always captured my attention with his right on attitude of dressing……class, sophistication, imagination and when he wants COOLER THAN HELL!!!
My personal fave of all those who inspire you.
We know Mr. Elkann has a number of Rubinacci suits, but is this one of them, Scott? The color is something Luca would recommend (and it is beautiful) but that isn’t a spalla camicia, the jacket’s skirt is a bit short, and I’ve never seen a turnback or gauntlet cuff on a Rubinacci (but I daresay they’d try to make one if a client like Mr. Elkann asked). Rubinacci would also typically cut the suit jacket to show some shirt cuff — Lapo is showing none at all (unusual for him). So who is his tailor in this case? Thanks for bringing Pitti to life, Scott.
Someone says genial….I know, we talking about style, but we hope to see another kind of man on Sartorialist. This is a very bad example and not a model of elegance in life . The style is also intelligence and behavior, not only beautiful dresses.
