Hi–great shots!! Interesting, I usually don’t like denim on denim, but this works, probably because of the different shades of denim?! Also, I love the necklaces on her–they are really cool and her hat and coat–all very inspiring!!
I like both images here, but I prefer the first image (the lady with the hat). She has so many things I could go on about.
The shirt does look slightly big around the collar and for all of her chic image of wearing that beautiful coat over her shoulders you can see she is warm as you can see a bit of her ribbed long sleeved top creeping through a sleeve. And speaking of sleeves, it it me or does the cuff look as if you can see the crease from the way she’s ironed the shirt (the incorrect method). Everything else is fantastic!!
oh this is my gorgeous wonderful friend konca!! i miss you sister, i still have your copy of the god of small things. your cameo is serendipity for us to connect again, i’d love to talk with you! sending you tons of love and bisous!! xx jamie
Again a hatted Parisian wearing a lovely classic tweed coat! I really wonder whether these young ladies are not stetting a trend that would fully take ground next Winter, yes, regardless of what we are seeing right now on catwalks. Personally, I think it lends them a nice look and character! I guess the other good looking and nicely well dressed lady would also wear a hat next year. Nb: you would need to be back at that time, Scott, to see whether this style has definitely taken hold or not. Now, to you guys out there in Paris watching these pics, and wondering how this style would translate into menswear, be aware that these ladies are actually paving the way to the return of the classic look … for you too! There would be no way to dodge this would-be trend if fitting to the broad street style environment were somehow meaningful to you!
So many times it is the eyes of these subjects and the facial expressions that usually draw my attention in first. The top shot is a perfect example of this here! Studying her vestments, there is so much beautiful detail that draws me in even further until I become lost in thoughts and emotions that such imagery evokes!
