I like the bag….and the overall fell of the outfit..but the pants and the socks, just miss. They look to skimpy for the rich bulk of the coat and the scarf. A long skirt or, a pant with a wider, longer leg, would be better. The socks are what my husband calls “birth control”. Wearing them assures no physical contact will be initiated.
To Debbie, the bag was the first thing I noticed as I’ve wanted one (the East West Messenger, to be precise) for so long! It’s Mulberry, I believe – sure it’s the Barnaby, in oak, but you can check out the whole collection here: http://www.mulberry.com/#/storefront/c5488/
I have never seen on outfit on this site that I haven’t admired in some way, so here is the first! Ill-fitting jacket, unflattering pants, don’t know what is up with the shirt, not into the socks or shoes. I do like the hat, but looks frumpy with this outfit. I would love for you to explain what you saw?
Oh I don’t know about this. The buttons on her jacket are pulling, the flash of blue shirt in the front looks sloppy, and cropped pants and socks … hmm….she looks like she rolled out of bed, and not in the good way, either. I like every item – just not the combo.
Your pictures are becoming more about the personality than the clothes these days — which I love. You’ve got some populist mid-west streak leading your eye. It really seems terribly optimistic in the best displaced mid-western way.
Wow, I need to take more pages from this woman’s book… We have a very similar style aesthetic, but she is just daring enough compared to my more ‘comfortable’ style (read: slightly in a rut). Love the lighting of the shot, as well, thanks for posting.
She looks like the kind of person who would be fun to hang out with; it is kind of a scruffy look but that’s how lots of us leave the house (well, I do!). Not everything is about high end! Love the hat and totally understand needing to stuff your scarf into the coat in windy weather! So pleased to see this kind of look anyway she looks happy and fun! x
