My ties are too long for me since I have a short torso and small neck, but I’ve never had a tie altered- I guess one could, though. Do any of you have ties altered to the perfect length? Funny I’d never thought of it before. Khaki is an Indian word (place name?) and, as a color, means the color of white fabric died with tea, which the Brits did in India for soom reason I’ve forgotten. Love the suit and all the accessories. Like the break and the narrow ankle. I would think a simple hem is what you’d normally do with plain front cotton pants- even as part of a suit, but I don’t know. What would the person above who commented on the hem like to see? I would not mind a sleeker, more sophisticated shoe, but I don’t think a more casual one would work with the formality imparted by the shirt/tie/pocket square. Hmm, lot to say about this opne. Last but certainly not least, this is a really beautiful photograph! Thanks.
He looks great!…just one thing bothers me dough…the tie!…I think it’s not knotted properly, the tip should be just up the belt buckle.. like it is now..it gives strange sense disproportion making the pants look way up…call me eccentric but..
how in the heck does this shot only have 4 (four, really?!) comments. this is quintessential summer suit, and especially noteworthy for how completely empty a Roma street is (what time was this, Scott? 6am?!)
i dig the unbuttoned cuff on the both the shirt and suit. terrifically smart. the suit, the haircut, the colors, the cut of the suit … all scream summer.
great as always, scott.
post — btw, dig the eye wear direction you’re heading with luxotica.
