This is exactly what I needed: a photo that proves to me that cold weather fashion, big coats and scarves don’t have to be boring! The oversized volumes, mixed grey and different wooly textures, combined with the skinny jeans and chunky boots create very cool contrasts.
I like the knit cowl…I’m hoping it’s some angora blend, something super comfortable to wear around the neck. And what’s more, I’m thinking there’s got to be at least one knitting project in that boxy tote…interesting shape by the way!
Hey kids: the moral of this story is, “Don’t get rid of your favorite clothes”! The last few weeks’ photos have convinced me that if I’d hung onto more of what I wore as an undergrad, I’d be one seriously happening woman right now. (Though I doubt I’d look as fabulous as this young woman does.)
Wrong. Besides the bag I can’t even tell where this stuff is from..but actually I don’t see the problem. Wearing basics well is an art that very few people have mastered. Far too many people think that unusual means innovative. Not so. Your clothing shouldn’t be the first thing people see when they see you. This girl is belongs on this blog in spades. This look is one that actually can inspire me for having fun with cold weather clothing.
