I love when things look this good and you can see how simple it is. Jeans and a jacket that fits.
I love patterns like herringbone, check, and houndstooth. I wish someone would put together a nice HowTo for mixing the patterns without looking overworked.
Gorgeous jacket—-cut and fabric! Maintaining tight color coordination between the tie, the jacket and the tote allows the extra degree of freedom in pairing this ensemble with jeans. Nice.
That’s not a woman’s bag, it’s a human’s bag. I want to know where to buy it.

This guy is as crisp as they come, while still looking casual. I love the equestrian-looking jacket. The angled pockets – and especially the inclusion of a ticket pocket – really set it off.
I might do this jacket with a turtleneck, or a open spread collar shirt with an ascot or a scarf in a small paisley or a foulard. Maybe splash on a little Acqua di Parma (or Aqua Velva), then go to L’Express or La Goulue, and chill.
Nice outfit which somehow makes me think country more than city. The herringbone and denim is a good combination. I like the simple palette with its’ touches of white white- beautiful handkerchief. What’s the tie made of? It almost looks like suede. The width and texture of it work well with the style and proportions of the jacket even though it would not be my favorite under other circumstances. I have to finally say I really dislike these huge bags especially when they completely dominate a look, as they often do. It’s not so bad here with the mix of textures but he’d still look better without it.
The jacket is a great statement for the fall in NYC a little heavier weight. Also I like his bag, moving away from the messenger bag and saving his jacket shouolders.
I love the jacket, tie, glasses, pocket square, jeans…everything is so good….EXCEPT THE BAG. Instantly the look moves from sexy Dad to fashion nerd.
Maybe it’s a pet peeve but it feels like now that women have got over the tent-sized handbag, men have decided it’s their turn. Who needs a precious leather bag this size? – I’m guessing he’s not a chic plumber.
As mentioned, the coherence of the various browns (all of which match well with the denim hue) brings the outfit together beautifully. The tie is especially nice.
im really averse to that color. The color of the jacket that is. Love the deep copper sheen of the tie. I do also think the fit is great and the bag is to die for.
This is what I’m talking about. Thank you for posting this. This is a true definition of sartorial. Look at the way that jacket fits this gentleman and he is also well groomed with all right accesories to make the outfit work. Sart, you’re big time now and you can really influence the dress code with your success. The majority of men do not have the ability to dress themselves and they need guidance and assistance. Keep posting this type of photos and would like to see more Italian Preppy in the near future. Thank you.
My,he is too good to be true.I like his unshaved face and the haircut. The jacket fits perfectly and the colors ,white and leather mix nicely. Actually everything is almost too perfect. A fine picture.
beautiful jacket – it just fits so well. love the colour palette and textures. doesn’t scream for your attention, but wow, once it’s grabbed it all the wonderful little details just keep pulling you in, don’t they?
Is there a name for the tab on the left lapel? I bought a similar jacket at a thrift store this week, and it had one too, with a corresponding button hidden under the other lapel. I assume that’s for buttoning up in cold weather?
The bag is from Aero, Thomas O’Brien’s store in Soho, NYC. http://www.aerostudios.com It comes in several colors. I have one, and I love it. They offer shipping if you want to call and order one.
another stylish, amazingly talented member of the elite team of talent up at Ralph Lauren. and such a nice man deserves all the kudos he looks this good ever day
I second that.. this really is just another day in his wardrobe, and proof that he is simply a master at mixing the right materials and pieces to create the look that suits his mood and the atmosphere of any given day.
evocative of another era, a little bit Gatsby-esque. and i must admit, i am a sucker for a handsome man in glasses. the bag is beautiful, but i do find it slightly too similar to a women’s tote. perhaps something a little less structured would do the trick, the the color of the leather is absolute perfection.
Is this gentleman with the fablous coat wearing black(!)pants? If yes, than forget about it all. An absolute no no,IMHO! The undone button down shirt is cute. It looks to me as if upstairs has been carefully put together until he blew it with very dark pants. xavier
