They are so adorable. Love her huge pants and huge smile. Japanese girls are often so modest with their smiles, don't show teeth. I think it's a culural thing. Matching shoes too! Cute!
Adorable! I love her look from head to toe and her smile is A++ !
The man's tee is too cute. My husband has a similar one, that we found on thrift store adventure when we visited Orlando, Fl (the town itself is not that interesting to me, but the thrift stores are GREAT!)
i dunno, they have lean bodies which would look much better in tighter or more fitted clothing. there wide cheekbones and sharp eyes scream for sharper lines in their clothing. finally the hue of their clothing jars with their skin tone. fail
I can only agree: "They are so adorable. Love her huge pants and huge smile. Japanese girls are often so modest with their smiles, don't show teeth. I think it's a culural thing. Matching shoes too! Cute!"

What a smile, lights up her entire face! Lovely, lovely pic, Sart. They look happy just to be complimented on their clothes, and photographed. How refreshing…
You can't help but smile when seeing this pic. Fantastic couple with an amazing and complimentary style. Very snappy! snappy x http://www.snappylifestyle.blogspot.com
One of the things that keep my atention of japanese people is the fact that they get married a lot. very young too. They really live they love, and it's a special kind of love, more old school in some way, much more respectfull. This picture is amazing scott, her smile, his sprecion, and the outfit of both, that cute little prada clutch , her gorgeous necklace. The picture has a great outfit, and a great "story" behind.
I do not agree that they are unique, stylish, or fashionable. I agree they look very happy… but a tiger T-shirt with parachute pants showcased as exceptional style? Are our standards that low?
Her pants are an inspiration! Big clothes on small people look cool and are the short people's revenge/backlash against the tall-centric fashion world! Rise up and get large!
I love how they are not afraid of volume with their outftits. Us westerners might opt for something more slimming.. but the oomph in this outfit is stunning.
WHAT A NICE COUPLE. I HATE TO SAY THIZ BUT THEY LOOK MORE LIKE BROTHER AND SISTER THAN HUZBAND AND WIFE. THE GREAT ELEMENT OF HAVING A MATE. HOW GREAT THE COUPLE MESHEZ TOGETHER IZ IMPORTANT. I KNOW, I KNOW THIZ IZ A STYLE BLOG!!! EXCUZE ME FOR BEING A HOPELESS ROMANTIC
She could be wearing a potato sack and look like a million bucks because of that smile — wait, she IS wearing kind of a potato sack… No matter what these kids (and kimono wearing men) are wearing, they look comfortable, rather than affected, in their au courant clothes — that's the message I'm getting from looking at Scott's photos from Japan.
But why o why moan about how they need slinky fitted clothes.
Of course they'd look great in something more fitted, anyone can see that. Baggy clothing is not just for the overweight! But it needs to be when they should choose to wear it, in the mean time ease up, let them have a day or week or year off and decide their own fate.
What an adorable couple! They just match each other like hand and glove :-) I just have a feeling that their style in wardrobe is only one of many aspects of their compatibility. BTW: they both look great!
The peolpe from your japaneese shots seem to be from an other planet. I keep watching the pictures. All of them are SO different from all I see here in Italy. Thanks a lot for the book, it's so inspiring! Hope you'll make an other one including the japaneese theme.
They look happy and beautiful. It makes me smile just looking at them. From a personal fashion standpoint, the guy's outfit isn't my cup of tea, but it's impossible to judge just their clothes when the subject of the photo is…them! Clearly!
Anonymous said: " there wide cheekbones and sharp eyes scream for sharper lines in their clothing. finally the hue of their clothing jars with their skin tone. fail"
Hidden racism o_o I have a round face and eyes…so I have to wear only clothing with a soft silhouette? Fashion isn't about that! You = fail
Thanks Scott, this just made my day. I don't know whether this is the much more stylish Japanese version of dressing alike or if they are just so close as a couple that the small differences in their sartorial choices are what is setting them apart!
i liked the consequence of the guy's male outfit: tiger blouse nad combat pants in opposition to his wife feminin, a bit alladin girl style. and someting in common: smiles and sneakers – like saying : we are from one world:-) positive pic. thanks
I love this young and oh so happy couple, makes me want to be 'twenty something" again.
