Beautiful girl. The warm brown beanie really brings the outfit to life against the cool blue, white and black. The bag is also a lovely point of interest.

A lot of the appeal is the gamine pose in the pic.
I study Sartorialist for the photography as much as anything else. And to see what people look like in parts of the world
that are not “fashion free zones” of course!
It always surprises me that just when I think I’ve figured out the trends, along comes this. It is so great, a Peter Pan collar with a white blouse underneath, and some funky socks. Love the hat.
I love this! Carhartt! Makes me think I can wear mine outside of the woods. She makes it look so cute and even a bit dressed up with her pretty hair and the button down under the sweater.
Today I saw your interview in HOLA! I can tell you are a very nice guy. And funny too.
The woman that interviewed you was very nervous and I am not sure she understood everything you said.
…nothing better than introducing a utilitarian brand like Carhartt into your already uniform look. The Carhartt icon almost acts as the detail in this otherwise simple ‘accessory’.
I love that plaid bag, often I wish you asked people what they are wearing on top of taking their picture……. I realize it would be pretty hard, just saying…. a girl can wish……
I have been devoured this blog everyday for months now (introduced to it by my photographer brother who follows it not for fashion but for composition and style).
I generally love the photos, but this shot is something truly special, above and beyond. This young woman looks so comfortable with herself and a tad mischevious…like she’s got a plan on the horizon. She’s the image I hope to project daily.
This is a beautifully composed photograph. I love the way the simplicity of the surroundings and the simplicity of her outfit play together. It’s a stunning image.
Scott, (may I call you Scott?), what kind of camera are you using? This image is pure genius. And I haven’t even looked at the costume yet. The colors, the tone, the composition…stop me.
She looks really fresh and low key…but with great style! It’s really uplifting to think of someone just hanging out on a step after eating their lunch only to be snapped by a talented photographer and shown to the world.
