A lot of the appeal is the gamine pose in the pic.
I study Sartorialist for the photography as much as anything else. And to see what people look like in parts of the world

It always surprises me that just when I think I’ve figured out the trends, along comes this. It is so great, a Peter Pan collar with a white blouse underneath, and some funky socks. Love the hat.

…nothing better than introducing a utilitarian brand like Carhartt into your already uniform look. The Carhartt icon almost acts as the detail in this otherwise simple ‘accessory’.

I have been devoured this blog everyday for months now (introduced to it by my photographer brother who follows it not for fashion but for composition and style).
I generally love the photos, but this shot is something truly special, above and beyond. This young woman looks so comfortable with herself and a tad mischevious…like she’s got a plan on the horizon. She’s the image I hope to project daily.
