I agree that this is a great look, but I must admit that I am a big fan of the "overblown Kentucky Derby vibe." As we say here in Texas, "go big or go home."
Let's call her Whitney; withering on Houston Street; nearing the Broadway corner– she sees the Hollister store ,the surfer models by the door– and longs for a seat on the Hamptons Jitney.
I really love this shot Scott: the movement, the colors, the volumes, the wedge shoes are amazing and she really knows how to wear that hat, I agree. Simply insiprational!
what a beautiful combination of colours! somehow i feel like i haven't quite seen it before! and love the fact that the dark colours are at the top. usually this look would be 'balanced' with black shoes but her gorgeous nude wedges definitely make this original.
Nice outfit. Can I humbly suggest more posts on casual hat-wearing? I come from Australia, where hats are pretty essential for anyone with fairer skin who doesn't want to look 40 when they are 30, yet there is little guidance on how to pull the hat off without looking too "sun smart" (ie, like you are taking on board government advice about how health far more important than fashion). In general, love the blog. Well done.
Love this, it looks so laid back, such summer chic! It doesn't even disturb me that the wedges and the bag are matchy-matchy. Also, I'm still a sucker for neutrals, even though bright colours and colour blocking is such a big trend now. Still find this a lot chicer.
I love the rather Japanese colors of this photo – the grayish blue, black, tans, and the tiny bit of orange at her feet and the small bit of ochre color on the right side in the fence. Gorgeous!

Seriously? I think that hat is awful. It's just a bucket hat with a bigger brim. Since when is that either "city" or "chic"?
