The two simply look cool. I hope my pose looks like this too from behind :D

Wear them! No one should be forced to change if they don’t want to.

i love it how these two pictures could have been taken now or 10 or 20 or 30 years ago! :)

They fit amazingly well. Nothing better then classic rise Levis. Low rise has had its day in the sun. Gotta say i was over it a while ago, and I don’t see any reason to backslide…pun intended? What I hate is how thrift stores realize that they can get money for any older Levis, so you pay more for them then new ones. It seems unfair.

I’m a fan of good high waisted jeans/shorts – like really if they’re cut right

The first pic is amazing—classic, elegant, timeless. I would have NO idea when the photo was taken (sans cars)–could be the 60′s, 70, 80s, etc. etc. This classic, simple elegance is what has been missing from “street style” for a very long time, folk trying tooooooooo hard. It is perfect. Thank you.

Oh, my early youth went at the fashion time of “jeans on hips” (you remember: short T-shirts, a naked tummy, Shakira))). And very long time it seemed to me that all that is sitting above, than 6 cm higher a navel are from the end of the 80th. And it isn’t modern at all. But, times change, now I LOVE high rise jeans. Great fotos ;)

nice shots! does anyone know what model Levi’s those are?

I wish I knew! But it must be either a men´s or a vintage jeans. I searched Levi`s website, but the only women´s high-rise jeans they carry are skinny jeans.

…………… charity shops are the way forward on these. NEVER walk on past Levis even if they aren’t ‘shape of the moment’ – they will be!

They are vintage for sure, and probably pretty spend, unless she is one of the smart ones who bought them at Goodwill for 5 dollars before everyone else hopped onto the bandwagon. I would think they are 1980′s 505. It excites me just to see them in a picture.

These look like Levi’s Vintage Clothing 701, high waist and straight wide leg. They’ve been worn in from a dark indigo.

Isn’t that a retro of an old fashioned Levi-jeans?

Both of these looks are great. The first one is an all around classic….white t, loafers, easy jeans….perfect. The shorts look is modest, but sexy at the same time.

The first lady in the high waist Levi’s outfit appears super confident and comfortable with her great simple style. True elegance without all the trappings – she probably does that wonderfully too. Far too many ‘fashion victims’ around at the moment.

High waist is practical for bike riding. Low waist would give you a whale tail (woman 1st world problem of thong poking thru). Scott…there you go again…trying to makes us look ‘decent’ while balancing on 2 wheels…. ;) xo

Bravo, pants can only truly fit beautifully when hanging from the waist.

I like the fit of the jeans, but they’re cuffed in a really awkward place–I’d either wear them full length or roll them higher if they’re too short (as it appears they may be).

    I want those jeans!
    Comfy-looking, relaxed style, figure-flattering…

    Where can I get them?!

Finally! I like the higher waisted jeans vs. the low rise. It’s much more flattering for most people.

Scott said that we need to check in mirrors for a look at the back of our outfits. These both look great from behind. Not a fan of high rise but then, you have to have a good shape for it.

Ooh so much sexier than low waist pants.

How can they be high waisted pants? The narrow part of your torso is where your waist is and on these gals that’s where these pants start. For far too long the big mouth fashion bullies have held sway and women go along with their pronouncements. Those are at waisted pants and what is wrong with that.

Any recommendations for ladies who are “thick” through the middle? I have a tummy and want to do the high waisted thing, but don’ think I can.

These either are the women from Broad City or their doppelgängers.

The second one looks like Annie Clark aka St. Vincent… Hmmm.
