Oh, I just love this photograph Scott. How sweet and innocent. Modern, but the B & W makes me think of days gone by. They are lovely, two models on their day off having fun? What a couple of head turners, beautiful young ladies!
just love it…! Hey, I'm a girl that you took a picture in milan, I was dressed with beige shorts, large white short and black ballerinas. I wanted to know if it possible to send the picture on may mail : petrignanica@hotmail.com XOXO CP
I don't think there's much I can say about this picture that hasn't already been said but it is just perfection. There can truly be nothing better than being young, beautiful and carefree in New York, heat wave or no heat wave. X
Would love to see this in colour–such a fresh airy moment in the heat of the summer deserves colour. though the black and white is gorgeous. wish i had my bike with me right now.
Wow, this is already a classic ! Realy a very nice shot. And very sexy. I love the slim legs arround that bicycle, and the 2 chignons (blond and brown). The black and white is absolutely pertinent here.
Wonderful shot. And, the black and white really sharpens the perfect geometry of their arms and legs, the motion of the fat tire bike, all against the backdrop of cars on a rack.
I don't know how you get such great shots, but bravo!
I adore this picture so much; it reminds me of me and my best friend- still young, stylish, and carefree! :) I was in the city today and I have to strongly agree with the heat wave heading! I'm in love andrea
I love this photo.I can see reflected the present of a city but also the past like a silent film or "What's up doc?(Dir.Peter Bodganovich with Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neal).
I love the photos on the go and I love the models freestyle&urban cool look outside the catwalk, when they walk on the street with these very easy looks but incredibly chic….amazing black and white
Oh… I love this photo! So summery and fun, fun, fun!!The girl's are timeless! I hope they see it so they can frame it and be inspired to stay this way even when they are 99!
Juxtaposed with the previous photo, it's interesting to watch how progressively younger age groups adopt more uniform styles. Among the teen-through-early-twenties age set New York and Los Angeles alike, one can expect to find high-waisted denim cutoffs and flowy tees not long enough to be tucked in, with calculatedly "effortless" hair. I wonder when such uniformity might end, as I expect you do as well, Sartorialist.
This is what makes a New York man tolerate N.Y. even at its worst, smile, and thank God to be alive. I just want to hug them! More black and white, please.
BTW….their looks and smile reminded me so much of my wife that I called and told her I adore her…and asked her: please, wear a dress like the black one this weekend!I hope the women reading this understand how appealing this is!
Well, this is an instant classic. I saw this yesterday & couldn't wait to see it again today. On so many levels this is a great piece of art. The balance of tones, composition, the interplay of foreground/background.. the way the curvilinear trapezoidal motions of the bodies/arms/legs playfully mimic the geometry of the cars– haha, OK I'll stop.
Seriously though, this needs to be on the cover of something.. You need to make a calendar. A classy calendar, a collection of your best shots of the year. This one here represents July ;-)
I was the one that met you at The Strand, just wanted to say that I was going to get my book signed in Melbourne, but the line was too long so I left, so I'm glad I finally ran into you!
as i was scrolling, my eyes played a trick on me and i swear i thought the girl on the bike was sitting on a wheelchair. wow could you imagine what a good picture that would be. i find that there are not enough joyful pictures of people with wheelchairs… sorry so off topic
This image reminds me of adolesence, because it's just so fun. I also love how it's black and white, but somehow crisp, and clean so it's still really modern.
I like the way that you post a lot of photos of people on bikes, and people having fun and looking sexy on bikes. It goes a long way towards changing attitudes towards bike riding and, in the long run, getting more nasty cars of the roads! This photo's a good one!
Totally, totally charming; one of those great photos that captures more than the individuals depicted but something innate that we feel at a time of our lives–the joy and exuberance of a hot day, totally free, and carefree. Classic
great pic.. I love that you have these two cuties cruising double on the beach cruiser having a blast with all the range rovers in the background (basically useless)… it just shows whats really important..
