I don’t get why this coat is remarkable. The pants though are a great fit.

I made the mistake, several years ago, of buying a similar duffle coat at a Burlington Coat Factory Store (I know). Short of arctic conditions, I would say there are very few occasions to wear such a piece- why not layer a sweater underneath a lighter coat? Puffer jacket, perhaps, puffer long coat, no. I do love his hat, scarf, trousers and especially the boots. I think his color combination is right on, and looks gorgeous with this background. Jorge from WPB

Great photo Sart! Parkas are so functional and great pieces for winter. When it comes to parkas I prefer the Canada Goose over Woolrich anyday!

so where is the groove.

Initially I see this pic and I think yeah, so what. Then I admire the clean line of his slacks and boots. I see the scarf stands out b/c it’s same color as his beanie and the two together dress up the jacket a bit. So there’s a color story going on that I like and the gravel beneath his feet are a part of the color story. Coincidently fantastic how he coordinates with his surroundings.

it’s simply a Woolrich arctic parka….it’s simple….

I don’t understand why a lot of people are complaining about the jacket. I don’t know about other countries, but if you are Italian – especially northern Italy where it’s colder than the warmer south- chances are you have this jacket. It’s a fashion statement, you just have to have a woolrich arctic parka. I work in new york now and everytime I walk down fifth avenue and I see someone with a this parka I know they are Italian (well, along with the Prada shoes, Gucci glasses, Eastpack backpack, and that whole Italian mannerism). And yes, I’m Italian too :)

that’s great, but this discussion is not really usefull, the dressed results very nice,and that’s all

im loving that this looks like a normal, regular everyday guy. and while i do hail from a sub-tropical climate, i do believe that most normal folk WOULD wear coats such as this one when living with very cold temperatures! not all of us sacrifice warmth to look utterly chic and fabulous.

i like the colours, especially the little hint of pale yellow on the underside of the coat next to the grey and his blue shirt. i like that he looks warm and comfortable. i especially like that he is well-dressed without having that extra pizazz so many of us have come to expect.
