the 'Anonymous' comment above – you don't understand why people hope the coat is faux-fur and 'this isn't the 90s'? What does that even mean? Real fur is morally repellent whatever decade it is… and if you didn't know that to be true you may have used your name.
Yeah, I don't know why we're all hoping it's faux-fur. No one ever says "I hope that's fake leather/suede!" When will people realize that being anti-fur and not anti-leather or anti-meat just makes you a hypocrite?
once again a proportion play. in this case oversize fur over sleek leggings. great look. with the exception of the boots which gap around her ankle breaking the look up. it's all about balance and this might have looked better with a more substantial or better fitting boot.
What a beautiful picture! I think it is Siberian Wolf and then it must be vintage, or second hand. And that is not so bad. Or am I wishing here..? Its forbidden to kill wolves in my country at least, thank god!
But I like the picture, the silhouette, and the light.
Uuuuuuuuoooooooooooooooyyyyyeeeeeesssssssss!!! The textures! Visually absorbing. Those who criticize wearing fur coats have never lived through a severe winter wearing a fur. That experience would change their minds.
We absolutely have a right (and an obligation) to complain about someone wearing real fur, just as we should speak up about any kind of cruelty. And becaue it isn't the 90s, one would think that since information is more accessible, people would have more awareness and kindness. Fancy being skinned alive? I didn't think so.
I just can't keep quite after reading (thankfully so few) totally insensitive and immature comment.
I think I agree with lintmag that it would be nice if the coat were a little longer. Tho maybe that's just the Conservative in me coming out… LOVE the boots tho – so simple yet making a wonderful statement, and her legs look AMAZING! x
Her fur coat is obviously vintage. It's an old silhouette usually for older women. It's so cold in NY with the wind chill that fur is acceptable here. That being said, when fur is purely FASHIONABLE as it is this season, that is too much and I'm glad we now have the luxury of fake fur. I have a 'vegetarian' leather vest that is as soft as lambskin.
Forget the coat – the most important question is this: Is she wearing anything else underneath that furball? I can't seem to see anything else peeking out from underneath that. She has got great gams, I am sure. But still…..
The shot is beautiful, and while I hope it's faux fur, I've stopped caring. That's what the comments do, make you stop caring. I've always been vegetarian, and that means shit, because the world is about destruction for the sake of feeling kitten soft and lovely. Ahhhhh. My soul is empty, yet my pockets are full of money.
Superb. I love the way all the cool boots are loose around the ankles. Kind of the NYC version of Japanese Lolita fashion. Although do not do this without that type of body or you are going to look like a drag queen.
