An utterly photogenic gentleman…a most intriguing photo.
He knows how to wear his hat…above the eyebrows and at an angle!

Impeccable. The scarf looks great. The popped collar! This is how I hope I look in 25 years.

Cool hat touch!

Lovely shot! This guy is actually a TV and stage actor – I’ve seen him in quite a few things over the years but I can’t remember his name.

Sir John Standing! A fine actor!

Thanks for the info = ). The fibres of every element in his outfit look fine and his style is a touch unexpected. Or is this a good example of that beloved (to me) eccentric British dandy-ness?!

Good ensemble! And he looks like an interesting guy too.
The absence of a perma-clutched cellphone is also delightful.

I’m sure this man is an actor – seen in British film and TV in 60′s-80′s

So Cool !!!

He looks fantastic. Re the caption, it sounds (surely unintentionally) a wee bit patronizing to me, bit like a pat on the head. Which does not do justice to this dignified gentleman :)

So true re the caption, totally agree!

I thought that too. As my later post Sir John Ronald Leon Standing is 4th Baronet, is an acclaimed and talented English actor. Perhaps a little more than a ‘Good ‘Ol Chap’?

Thanks, Scott, (or Jenny?) for changing it! Now it suits him so much better :)

Love the rotted hat. It gives him true sprezzatura….or is that not a thing among Englishmen?
