WOW- that outfit is amazing. My mom used to have a necklace just like hers that I would steal all of the time. She looks timeless, from the neck down it looks like something Jud Garland would have worn back in the day…and I love Judy Garland.
ON A SIDE NOTE, I always think of your photos as having a timeless element to them. So, naturally, when I looked at this photo, I said to myself, a true classic, eternal. But then I stopped to think, what will future generations think of us, when they see these photos of people always looking at their phones? What would past generations think? Isn't that weird? Are we missing out on life?
I disagree with Joy Mars. She looks like she cares, yes, but if you are reading a blog like this one, don't you? Also, I love the pop of red with the gray, the way her toes are pointed in for the shot, the loose waves in her hair. She looks a bit concerned, however… a smile could do her wonders. Great top. And I'll be extra happy if those shoes are flats and not heels.
You need to do a book of all Giovanna. I never tire of seeing how she wears her clothes— everything is pulled together so flawlessly! That red clutch is just the right amount of pop. Can anyone id it?
I love when people (women in particular) pick a personal silhouette and go with it. Right now, it seems she is set on the short full skirt. Although we have seen her in it twice in that recently, the looks were so different. I think it takes a good eye to create two very different looks with similar silhouettes. Variations on a theme…
Gaaaah I'm rambling, what I mean to say is I love it!
Amazingly gorgeous. Sometimes I ask myself, "why do I live in Portland?". It would be so hard to get away with this outfit here without getting crazy stares from all the outdoorsy folk. Seriously, seriously lovely outfit!
Scott, I hope you'll also have a new photo of the older woman with the long gray hair and bohemian look that you've shot many times before in Milan. I seem to remember she's a well-known Italian journalist, but I can't recall her name! I lover her, too.
exquisite…..love the random tie-ins of color that really make this such a gorgeous shot…the greys/blues in her chic outfit against the greenish backdrop – the splash of red in the clutch purse and the motorcycle safety reflector panels….the delicate heels against the pebbled street. Excellent work Sart!
Giovanna is by far one of my favourite of your photography subjects. I love this picture because the shape and colours of her outfit are amazing, and also because you've captured her off in another world.
