brown-beige-grey … colours that always match perfectly and give you the expression of both: elegant & relaxed. love it. not to forget: this man looks really interesting & "très sympa". it´s always about both, style PLUS personality, isn´t it ?
The different textures of the pieces of his outfit work really well together, although I would never have thought a camel overcoat over a tweedy body warmer could work, he really pulls it off here!
Love the color combination of the brown herringbone vest and the purple scarf. The color of the grommet on the vest is also playing the nice role. The amount of the heather grey sweater underneath the vest is perfect. But the most important one in this picture is his tanned face! naoko
The texture of the tweed vest and the pop of the purple scarf are nice touches to the fairly monochromatic ensemble. I'm also intrigued by the rounded shape of the vest pockets…
I definitely look forward to more fabulous outfits from Pitti Uomo – some of my favorite images by the Sartorialist are from Firenze.
Yay you're safe in Korea (guess I've been a bit MIA…)!
Wow- he wears that outfit well. The purple is the perfect dash of color to the beige and grey. I love purple and grey, clothes that is, not skies (little portland humor for you…)
Great combination, and what a wonderful vest, but what I like most about the image is that the subject is in control–of his look and of the image. My eyes bounce around, but always land back on his face and I'm drawn in and want to engage him. Very nice shot.

Very cool look. Relaxed and classy at the same time. Love the contrast between the puffy vest and the loose and light trench. The colours suit him so well
The very definition of monochromatic –right down to his complexion! I'm exhausted just thinking of the jet lag you must be experiencing, from NYC to Seoul to Florence! Go to Gilli's for a double espresso, pronto!
Anorak instead of a trench, yes? I believe we'll be seeing a lot of these this spring. Wonderful layering, the scarf takes this look to another level. Another great face! Your blog is making me want to do two things 1) put my blue jeans away for a while and 2) better appreciate the character in my own aging face.
I like the maroon scarf with the vest, which has edging in what looks like a brownish maroon. That tweedy look for the vest is wonderful, I like it with the thinness of the jacket, puffy vs. thin.
