Maybe he was like “Geez, my ankles are feeling a little breeze, better tuck em in”. Or “Dang, the colour of my socks go so well with my outfit today, but my pants are too long! Better tuck em in”.
I think it looks kinda cute! I have a slight problem with the edge of the lady her boots sticking through her pants though, that’s just inexcusable ;)
Hi Scott. First off, I’d just like to say how much I enjoy your website – the shots are always inspirational, and a pleasure to look at each day.
I just have a question on when you post your pictures. According to your posts on the 8th, they are from Florence, New York and Paris. I’d love to think that you got to all these places in one day, and if you did, then well done, but i was just curious on the process you go through when deciding to post. Your pics tend to be more about “style” than fashion (in my eyes, at least), so is it more about when a pic feels right to you? Do you have a back catalogue of shots that you might add when you feel the time is right. I guess its the “on trend” images that I’m most interested in. Are the people genuinely on trend at the time of taking, or are the pics being held back until such a time that they are actually suitable/relevant
My apologies for such a long post, but I am just trying to get a deeper understanding, and once again, I really do enjoy looking on your website and instagram pages, so many thanks
My father refuses to wear long underwear and does the sock-tuck when he’s cold (and since he’s often wearing loose corduroy pants and short, slouchy jackets, ends up looking like a hobo cossack, to my mother’s great annoyance). My bet is that guy’s also fighting off an unfriendly breeze.
I like the fact that he tucked baggy pants into socks, and she has taken her what appear to be leggings and stretched them over her boots. Makes me laugh either way, seem like a fun and maybe ecclectic couple/friends.
I am not sure where you are getting your information, but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning more or understanding more. Thanks for great info I was looking for this information for my mission.
I’ld venture to ruin the fashion mystique by porporting that this unexplained sock tuck is anti embolic stockings (ted compression hosiery) which is not designed to be worn fully 24/7. While walking the man rather than removing and applying the stockings (a small feat for a health care worker, quite possibly a true challenge for a man of advanced age) he doesn’t need the stockings fitted appropriately as he’ll get the edema under control. wearing the stockings over the pants provides a little bit of breathing room.
