I just did a blog post dedicated to Solange Knowles partly because she wears her hair naturally, despite all the pressure on Black women to straighten their hair, and not wear in its natural form.

Love it. The gold accents from the zipper in the shorts to the watch and the Longchamp tote pulled this look together. I think her natural allows us to notice the little things (never underestimate the importance of a good eyebrow arch). Great pic.

When you see her you might think that the does not care much about her style. It is not very stylish, glorious or eye catching compared to chic NYC. The is a beautiful woman. It looks like she chose her cloths randomly. She she does care and she does look very stylish and pure when you gaze her for a while. The light make up is amazing. It supports her fine and elegant character.
Her expression is a kind of mysterious to me. Is she self confident, is she searching, experimenting, more introverted? She definitely looks like a person you could tell anything.
I personally don’t like the watch and I think a nice and fine leather bracelet would make her even more simpatico than she looks on the picture.

OK. Thats exactly how I dress now! Cropped shirt. High waisted shorts. Neutrals. i have that exact t shirt. Its so very nice not to tuck in or have any extra length. those are the proportions of tomorrow. I am going to keep the proportions in the fall and winder as well. this would look very different if her shorts were hanging on her hips, and the shirt was past her belly button. Thast the most important part of the look. The thing that makes it unique.

Besides, its very irritating when people take something that is kindly meant and put their nose up at it because it doesn’t fit their PC thinking.
